Another space systems game. I like it. The alien kept getting me and I am doing something wrong there, but fun wee narrative game.

This was my first game jam and I worked on a similar concept with my game. Take a look and see what you think. I've been told by a few folk that it lacked a tutorial and that was a major miss on my side. Your tutorial and guide was a good addition.

Thanks Cozi. I appreciate you playing and the comments. There is definitely one strategy that works in play (in easy mode) with the captain cloning the dice. But mixing it up with some other crew skills and mission types makes it more fun.

I am planning on continuing to develop this concept a wee bit more. Really enjoyed taking part in the game jam and using the 1 week time constraint to aid in the management of scope and focus.

Thanks for the comment. I agree the captain's clone skill is overpowered quite a bit and the game isn't really balanced. But was still great fun to have the constraints of the game jam imposed to help me get something built. This was my first game jam and first game and so pretty chuffed that I got it submitted.

Thanks again for playing!

The game balance is definitely not there at the moment - but planning on working on it a bit more to see if I can get it to all play nicely.

Thanks for playing and the comment.

The captain is very over powered. My thinking was that being the only character that can clone a die, in this build they are not available in Normal mode. But 100% agree. I had some other mechanics with cooldown and skill use counts, but wasn't able to get a sensible game loop fully implemented in the time constraint of the jam.

Thanks for the feedback!

Gotcha - good comment. Once you place the dice, you can click the activated green button to use them. I can see that isn't immediately obvious.

Take a look at my game if you have the time. It is a wee strategy game that involves rolling, dragging and using dice to fix space station systems and complete missions.

Any feedback would be awesome and a rating would be really appreciated!

I liked the look of this one... the clean isometric design caught my eye and I needed to check it out. I managed to softlock the level etc, but it left me wanting a lot more.

You got an end-to-end game loop in place, but I definitely wanted another level or two. But you got sick so understand... Hope you are all feeling better now though of course!

Old school arcade feel with the old cathode ray-tube TV effect. Love it.  Thanks for that wee bit of nostalgia there. Coupled with the mouse targeting rather than simply shooting straight and then the rogue-like cards, a great mash.

I definitely wanted a big over powered boss shootout at some point though. :)

Great work team.

This is a great game. Simple design and really well implemented, I really liked the ship augmentation and building.

Music and sound effects fit really well. And it is space themed - so another reason to love it!

Kudos on a great game.

I really liked this game. I was confused at first - but then the penny dropped...

Very creative and great level design too. Really well polished and solid Game Jam submission. Well done!

Do you remember how many revolutions / points you ended up with?

Thanks for the play and comments. Glad you managed to work through the lack of tutorial and suss out what to do...

Thanks for the enthusiastic comment and ideas. 100% agree on the powers - I had a few additional crew members and mission types/modifications that I didn't get developed in time. I just barely got the end-to-end game loop working tbh. :) This is my first game jam and first attempt at a game - was lots of fun and enjoyed the constraints the game jam emposed.

Thanks again for playing.

I liked the pixel aesthetics and look of this one and the interaction between the different buildings.  Solid game and lots of potential for future development. If you do take it further, consider a grid based placement. You've got plenty of future direction with building upgrades/down grades - adding characters to your town and how they 'contribute' or create problems... :)

Fun wee puzzler...

I really like this game a lot. Simple and clean visuals and the audio is the best I've seen implemented in the submissions. Influenced/inspired by a number of games from recent years, but definitely stands on it's own in terms of implementation and puzzle mechanics. Top notch team - you delivered a great game!

Classic platformer vibes and play on a certain hedgehog... Good level design and visuals for the jam - impressive and consistent theme.

I do this that although you have an ease into the start of movement, the abruptness of the stopping is somewhat unexpected and jarring. It took me a few mins to get the hang of it.

Great wee Game Jam entry though. Kudos!

I liked the way in which the control switched characters in this game. Really interesting mechanic and fun to try to get a grapple with. I think the 'throbbing' sound track was a wee bit much at the start, could build up to that. Still though - that is a minor gripe on an otherwise fun game.

Good stuff and well done on the creation of all of the assets. Solid Game Jam entry!

Great job on all the ratings and the highlights. I picked up a few to take a look at from your list. Thanks a lot!

Thanks for checking it out and playing. Did the music not work during the game for you? There was no music on the main menu (not sure why I didn't add there) - but it should be there in the background during the gameplay loop...

I was rather confused at first, but got the hang of it. For some reason, I was attracted to open the door immediately when the game started and I kept doing that first. Doh!

I found the green text on the paper on the desk a bit hard to read.

Pretty tense 3d vibe going on and I was worried it was going to be a jumpscare at first. Thankfully not.

Another space theme game! I liked the intro and the setting. Sketches and artwork are really good too. I did think it was quite easy and the game finished a bit too quickly.

I really like your scan line shader effect. It was a bit harder than I first thought to get going. I didn't buy a fuel tank for far too long. :) Going full screen in caused it to crash for me for some reason.

Still - I like the vibe and the ideas behind it. My game has a very similar theme/concept, but implemented quite differently.

Kudos on the submission. Good stuff!

Another space game. I like it. Tried it a few times, but couldn't get any audio out. Was that an issue my end? I'll replay if so.

Still - I liked the premise and good implementation of momentum and the use of the directional forces.

I liked it. Needed a wee bit of a clearer damage indicator and I found it a wee bit hard at the start to get enough bits and pieces to build the turrets I wanted to. But...

A great game and one that I'll be playing again. Thanks.

Kudos to the both of you - well done!

Ouch... great wee narrative game. Good story and implementation.  I liked the style as well - kudos on a game jam game well delivered.

I am a newbie here and straight to Godot for me. This was my first game jam and game and I really enjoyed the contraints of the game jam. The time pressure pushed me to try to keep scope tight and get something playable and submission ready. Also +1 for Godot. It is a superb engine and I am not going to be looking elsewhere as I continue to game dev...

Checking yours out now.

This submission is fantastic guys. I am really impressed. The graphics are top notch.

I think a more old school sea shanty-esque sound track would fit better with the feel. But top notch and impressed you got this built in a week. Kudos.

I really enjoy Dredge - checking your game out now.

Another space based game. I like the story and the UI, there is a lot going on under the hood here. Good stuff.
