Excelente trabajo. Canciones muy divertidas. Habéis usado lo último.

Wow, super completo. Enhorabena!

Thanks Phil :D Yeah, the mannequin has some trick into it. Glad you liked it.

Cozy mood for a date with a vampire. Somehow it works pretty well with the music and superb art. You have integrated well the theme in a very original way. Kudos!

Was too dark at first until I used the candle :) Good aesthetic, beautiful dark painting (and cover). I wanted to dig deeper, but only found one skull.

I liked the blood capsules and destroying a bit of everything. HAd to die a few things to open the door. Maybe there was a better way to fill the tank without dying. Good gameplay. Congrats!

It provides a good claustrophobic feeling in the sewers. Wanted to kill more but I was stuck looking o open the door, even though I found a key. Nice FPS but I would've liked to see the theme integrated a bit more. Good submission overall.

Super nice art, the cards, rooms. Good gameplay. Very good overall submission. Top of the jam. Congrats!

Pixel art vampire reminds me a bit the game "Faith" which I love. Very nice art. Game is super zoom, complicated to move around. You did submit a full game with an overall consistency, and the priest art is very promising.

I like the teen'ish conversation at the beginning and the overall look of the school. Tried to relive my friend but died attempting. Nice game.

Well done with the difficulty settings. It make it very playable. I tried to to beat the boss a few times. I enjoyed chaining around.

Monster actually scared me :) I like the super dark mood. Someone already mentioned the possibility to skip the intro to go straight to the game on the second run. Anyway kudos for completing the game.

I played a couple of matches. First one died at day 27. Second one I manage to survive with $10 😅 I liked the story and the idea of trading and surviving. I wanted to fight a bit more but I couldn't get any sword so ended up running. Very good initial plot and voice over.

Thank you for your kind words. What can I say? I agree with you 100%. I'm not even sure about the key, too. Probably unnecesary. We spent a lot time doing the initial setup and mood, planning the story, music, voice-over, thinking about mechanics, etc...; and we didn't have enough time to get to the hide-and-seek part of the game. We've learned and a lot and we're happy to continue and finish the demo. We want to explore where the "hide your face" mechanic thing can lead us to. Thanks again for your time.

Agreed with your son 😊 We spent most of the time setting up the mood, art and everything and left the creepy hide-and-seek out of the demo. Which it was supposed the main thing for the jam. Anyway we've got so many ideas for he mannequin. Thanks for letting by and give it a try. Appreciated it.

I liked the cover and the back corridor of the street :)

Thanks for playing the game 😊 I'll take your feedback to discuss further improvement, and I'll check the digonal movement, too,. You can skip the initial dialogue with right-mouse button btw, we didn't say anything cause there are no hints and the initial dialogue contains instructions on how to perform the ritual. Thanks again for taking the time to play. We're glad.

Sure, we added hints on the project page to help people to finish it 😊

  1. Find blood for the ritual (where would you keep the blood?)
  2. Find mannequin (where would you store it?)
  3. Find your way into your daughter's room. Key is easy to find
  4. Place Mannequin.
  5. Write your daughter's name on the wall.
  6. Spill your blood on the mannequin. Have fun!
  7. Time to play hide-and-seek. Close your eyes (hold spacebar).

Great OST and initial screen. I just envy your UI :D We didn't have time to add one. I tried to fight those little demons at first pressing buttons at random but I realised it was better to run. Good overall experience from beginning to end.

Great palette choice. Even though RPG maker games are not my thing, the b&w style makes the game very compelling and attractive. It's good to see how people use a tool like that and make it very personal and use the art direction to make it unique. Congrats.

Solid art direction with a personal touch. I love the pixel art in sync with the story. Great work.

I didn't find any server available. Maybe we have to schedule some time in Discord to play a match but I managed to play alone and see the level. First of all, impressive characters and movement.  And the lighting effect at tghe beginning, super nice. The trick of flowing through gates as fog is a great idea. I'd like to play a match to see how it goes in multiplayer.  Default unreal texture in walls feels cold, maybe you could replace with bushes, a bit darker and you have a complete game. Hope you finish and if you send an invite in DIscord to test, I'll join.

Very round game, art, story, music and the mixology mechanic. Fun and very pro. Quite a gaming experience. Congrats!

Scratch game! I wasn't expecting it and I'm glad you upload it, even though you didn't finish. I was curious to find out what happened after entering the place (or not entering) 😆 Nice story plot but let us know about the ending, even on the project page. Hope you finish it.

Nice game, it has a good creepy feeling to it. I love this SCP-ish monster and I would've like to find it sooner... and darker maybe. Overall very good gaming experience, maybe better with faster movement, or maybe I'm just to anxious to see monsters 😅

Great start, I love the candle bg with the story lines. Once you start the game, the environment is very consistent and neat. Cover is also very inspiring. Good choices. Congrats.

Very smooth movement walking across the miniworld, or megacell :) I think you defined your idea and scope very well for the jam and completed it. I like the flesh-cavern-ish environment and I would like to be able to explore it and fly around it. Maybe jumping from cell to cell. Your game invites to play more levels, planet-cells and enemies. Good job!

I love the start, the volumetric fog lights crossing into the trees. Very nice. I enjoyed shooting with "submachine" crossbow lol Too powerful for the actual enemies in the game. The interior of the castle is very nice. I couldn't finish the last quest "exit the castle" probably because I left to kill all the zombies first, and the it didn't capture the exit. I enjoyed it anyway. I wish I could battle a bit more time Dracula, though. Very good overall.

Even though I'm not into visual novels I liked your story. Nice writing, straight to the point. Good work.

Great overall game with several successess. Love the "homeless" character look, the PS style, the abduction and tutorial. Great fit for this jam. Kudos.

(1 edit)

Thank animatey for playing it. Glad you liked the look and feel, that's where we put more effort for the time given. We've added hints in the page to help users to complete the demo. But I'll add them here, too.

📒 Instructions (Hints)

Thanks Bullhead for playing. Actually there is no book, hehe but it's ok. We didn't have time to add visual hints or enough voice cues in the game to help with the progress. It's in our todo list now.

Thanks HappyCapyCoffee 🙏 for the thorough review and effort attempting to play twice to avoid that bug. We've made several full walkthroughs and fixed some bugs. We didn't find that one but we'll replicate your steps to find it. I guess you played the second version, right? Anyway, thanks for taking the time to play. Agreed 100% on the motion blur and UI. This game need the UI to disable/tweak many options. HDRP is heavy and many users will need to adjust a few things.

Most interesting part will be the second, the actual hide-and-seek game 🥳 IT's the actual core of the game, but I'm afraid we got lost a bit on the game introduction and scene setup.

Muy original y la ciudad es una pasada. Podríais compartir el mundo para otras personas puedan experimentar en el ?

Me ha encantado la maqueta. Funcional, bien explicado. Enhorabuena.

I've read current Karma formulae is "given ratings - received".

It would be nice to have this number (given ratings) in results.json for every submission (and/or karma points).

My goal is to reward participants with points based on numbers of rating they give, as part of a gamification dynamic we've implemented in our Discord server.

Thank you for choosing and playing The Streak in your channel :) Really appreciated.

Quite impossible to play.  :) Good work.
