Hey congrats on the good result you deserved it. I enjoyed the game and there was lots going on to learn. Witty too. If you'd been able to do your own music and background you'd have been even higher. Well done and cya at the next one I hope 🙂

Hey thanks for the feedback and glad you liked it 😊 I've fixed the bugs and uploaded it as bloody hell 2 if you're interested.

Disabling antivirus is too much work sorry

Well I learned a bit about powershell thanks for that! Actually a pretty good game. The challenge ramped up nicely and was quite fun to dodge the enemies.

Sorry you're only getting a few people trying it.

Hi thanks for the feedback. Sorry you got screwed by the clicking bug. I've fixed it already in my new version.

Hi if you're interested I fixed the clicking bug and a few other things and uploaded it as bloody hell 2 :) Going to develop that further after the jam.

Possibly build settings > player settings > player > publishing settings >compression format. I had to choose disabled or my game wouldn't work either.

Hi I'm guessing that's a no then but minor fixes are in the spirit of the game jam. I uploaded a fixed version as bloody hell 2. Fixed the clicking not always working and the high score table. Also I might have found the solution for the game https://itch.io/jam/scorejam9/rate/713258 iFruit Climber. In build settings > player settings > player > publishing settings >compression format i had to choose disabled or I had the same problem.

Thanks for the awesome feedback! I've fixed all the bugs if you are interested and uploaded it as bloody hell 2. Main difference is clicking the circles always works so the game is a lot smoother. Your game was great and when I'm back from the wage cage I'll leave a comment :)

Thanks for the feedback :)

Yeah hopefully it's a cluster in a good way. Cheers for the comment :)

Thanks for the nice feedback :)

481. Next game I make will be vaporwave I've decided :D

I came back to try it again. Rated gameplay a lot higher now that I understand the flow of the game and it was fun :)

Looks and sounds good but it's a shame you didn't make your own assets maybe next time.

Great game, well done. Loved the theme, the music, of course the crt filter together with the retro graphics. So good having the news ticker as your UI!

Mechanics were pretty perfect for me. Satisfying and fun.

I see you've done a couple of cool experimental cyber punk games and it's awesome so keep running with the theme :)

Really nice and satisfying game. A simple mechanic well executed. You judged the point at which you see the next rock really well.

Pacing was good for us testing but maybe lower how the game accelerates. Or, you could add a streamer mode for a longer more nail-biting highscore run.

At first the sound effect gave me a headache but it was satisfying too. It makes sense if you imagine a metal grappling hook. Perhaps add water splash to the same sound file.

The screenshot doesn't do it justice. I didn't do one this time but it's probably important to get more clicks. Something more zoomed in as the main one and I see people using animated gifs for the rest.

Understandable about the character and great job with the rest then :)

That feeling when you get a magnet and spell book at the same time! Excellent game. Actually fun to play. Mind if i bookmark it for when I'm bored?

Progression was well designed and fair. Got a score of 14500 to where ghosts are spawning and wonder if there's more to see.

Love the theme and it was fun to knock the witch off with the start button.

Well done.

Thanks for the great feedback and glad you liked it :) I really enjoyed designing the combination. A balance between fast clicking and risk/reward of different portals. I would have headed more towards !Osu if I had time. A game I've never played but looks interesting. I'd have had some swiping between portals for a start. Cheers!

Good job. The game works well and is pretty fun. The mechanics fit the theme in an abstract way. The game really benefits from the wind event and if you had time run with more events like that.

You clearly haven't got a good highscore lol. The background changes. I got to the bit with the moon :D

Hi nice looking game and matches the theme. Did you do all the artwork? I'm pretty new to this and don't know how many people do or not. I like it anyway.

There must be a design change you could make that allows you to move more fluidly. Perhaps the magic bullets could have some randomness to them.

Good job! Mechanically it worked really well and was fun to learn the puzzle. I tried to drag the hands at first and your how to play cleared that up once I learned how to get there lol.

Sound was alright but the music doesn't have to be so repetitive. Copy paste that tune a few times and change it up slightly.

Not bad. I like the menu and the rooms flow together well. Good for trying with the music but I'm writing this with it in the background. It doesn't get better lol. I recommend listening to some chiptunes on youtube. Hear how it's put together with a beat and a melody. Try Lmms if you need new software.

Ok for a first attempt I guess and it seemed alright as an experiment. Gameplay wasn't fun though. Some tweaks with the movement script to make it more responsive could help.

Pretty fun game well done :) The goofy graphics, sound effect and the justification for the flying bear were endearing.

Did you make the music yourself? It fits nicely anyway.

Hi the game was quite fun to play so good job with that.

The scene looked pretty cool too with the crystals in the background. Music was alright but I rate 2 stars as it's marketplace stuff. Have a go making your own it's easy and next time and you never know you could get a cheeky 5*. I use the free program called Lmms.

Good effort and the graphics were fun but it was painful to play.

Alright. That frozen ice lake background though took my breath away! If you look closely maybe you can see it was rushed but wow it made the game feel infinite. Really liked the theme and the ambient music fitted perfectly.

Suggestion: The tile grid really didn't match. I would have had the artist make big blocks of terrain that you could manually place around and you could script them to work the same.

Bugs: I fell through the floor into the grid once which meant my progress was lost. Level 3 didn't seem winnable? Had to taskmanager quit.

Very nice. Atmosphere was spot on. Gloomy, vaporwave? The mechanic was simple but satisfying. Loved the rumble of the boulders and the music was good although it got very repetitive when I went for a proper highscore. Good work.

Very nice! Game has everything. Banging tune, really good pixel art (player's amazing for 5x7!), fun gameplay. Aesthetics were an easy 5*. An improvement would be to decrease the difficulty at the start. It's well balanced but people need a few more jumps to get into it or they'll be too frustrated to give it a proper go.

Hey thanks for the feedback :) Glad you liked the logo. I probably spent too much time on that as there was so much I didn't get to lol. The gold colour I wanted to save for the rare spawn objects (spiders are worth a lot of points btw!) so wouldn't want to use it for the circles but I get your point :)

Hi thanks for the feedback and glad you enjoyed it :) It wasn't just you and I didn't quite squash that bug. Probably the first thing I'll fix when I patch it!

Thanks for the feedback glad you enjoyed it :) Definitely going to include a tutorial next time. Kicking myself because it would have taken 5 seconds to rename the help button to at least say "left click the circles" lol.

Thanks for the feedback glad you enjoyed it! I intended the way you interact to be more like the game called "Osu!" which wouldn't be suited for punishing clicks. Didn't quite get there and had to cut a lot of ideas for time of course :D cheers

Hey thanks for the feedback :) It was supposed to be messy in a good way lol with the amount of objects on the screen. I'd have liked to put a lot more gameplay in too! Really liked yours saw it yesterday and I'll comment in a bit.

Hi good idea. Please check out my game https://itch.io/jam/scorejam9/rate/713275

Everything made by me during the jam so hopefully you've never seen anything like it before!

I'm going to rate every game submitted and had a lot of fun. It's my second jam and I've caught the bug.

"Climb out of hell and murder some or your old colleagues on the way.

Left click the portals to fly around slicing and dicing as you go.

Everything made by me during the ScoreSpace9 Game Jam."

Hope everyone had a great time. I've caught up on sleep now so going to spend a day checking out games and replying! Thanks for all your feedback already.

Hey thanks for the feedback. I'll definitely prioritise the help button next time. It's in the long description here but it's not enough.

The screen does speed up and the music too. It's subtle but after a couple of minutes it's pretty tough!

Going to have a full day checking out games now that I've had some sleep 😊 cheers

Fun to play cheers :)
