It was announced, I am happy with my ratings. But especially for the
good job man, you deserved that
Very cool game man! Really loved the varieties of the maps, and this cool looking zoom out and in effect in MNM-Quake. My only concern is that Color Craze is kinda hurting eyes, yet this could be easily fixed, yet it also my favorite level, this fake obstacles really reminded me of Geometry dash and its invisible blocks like in TOE2 (Who played will understand).
Hey there,
Sooooooo It took much more time than I expected, due to personal reasons and big amount of work. But the code is overhauled and it will significantly simplify future development. However this game has lost it priority, I will update it, but in much slower pace, until it will receive some attention. Right now I will Focus on improving main menu and only then I will start working on some fun stuff!
I have decided to modify and finish my game jams projects, and first one would be Battlestations, which was created in 2 weeks. This is roguelike game, so your goal is to survive as long as you can, using spells and weapon to progress and upgrading stats along the game. But this game has one special mechanic, which is overload, after casting spells way too much, they can overload and cause harm to both player and surrounding enemies. I am planning to modify UI, rework balance and overload mechanic, add more enemies and maybe more weapons choices. My current goal is to overhaul code to ease out future development. Nevertheless the game itself is available in my profile. Stay tuned if you are interested!
Hello everyone, after about a year of development, my first BIG game project has been done, which is free by the way (Though available for Windows users). This is a game about surviving in a harsh islands, with extreme sharp weather fluctuations, not only the weather of an islands change really fast, but also its habitants adapt in it, changing them. Your goal is to survive as long as you can in this environment
Go check it out and don't hesitate to leave a comment, the game is still "Raw", so any feedback or constructive opinions are welcomed.
Hi there, once again I am late, the development of tutorial took more time than intended to. But it was worth it
It will teach you the essentials, but you still have to experiment also by yourself to learn all of the game mechanic details. Unfortunately, I didn't had time to solve bugs, last 2 weeks I am going to spend removing bugs and doing some balance changes
Hi everyone, so today it is 7th February, a bit later than I expected for a new post to be published.
So I added a slight fog effect into my game, to give more dimension to the map
Also more difficulty and more strategy like decision-making aspects were added, like self-collecting buildings.
Some balance changing have been added like hostile creatures being more aggressive and stronger in normal environment
Next week I will add:
I will not give any promises, but assumed date of game being published would be near the end of February. Unfortunately, this game vlog is pretty short, contrary to my belief for prolonging this game for another month, but I believe I spend too much time on it and have to move on
To be fair, some people updates their games after deadline, I saw it in a submission feed, guess you could also update yours since it is just to make a game at least playable. But in case, I am a newbie to game jams, so I don't really understand rules entirely, so I guess, it is up to you to decide
Ok, I actually searched about this problem https://itch.io/jam/lowrezjam2016/topic/20616/can-we-update-our-games-later-post...
Here are no specific rules about post-game jam updates, so the answer from there could be applied here also. In short, you can update post game jam. Though I would add, to keep the spirit of game jam, I wouldn't recommend adding new features/levels and so on.
It is a shame, that this promising game has this severe bugs. It is not even the lack of texture, that kills the experience, but a FOV, you cant play for a long time without feeling sick. Hope you would fix those bugs, without losing sleep, I myself had sacrificed 4 hours of sleep to finish still raw game and this was painful enough, you still got a lot of time!
Hey, yee I barely made under the deadline so many aspects of the game are not explained. So abilities are automated, like shield will automatically activate once you were hit. About health, here I actually haven't fixed this bug. I will fix them in the near future
And to make past huge gap. If you noticed the red marked turret's knockback is strong enough to get you to another side. Just get hit by it, there is a platform facing the wall. This wall will stop you just over another platform that will catch you
So hello everyone, my first time here posting a blog here. A game I has been working for almost a year is a Survival game, something similar to The Forest, but with one main difference, which I will explain later. Called "Adaptation Trial", here there is no end goal, just survive for as long as you can.
But being very invested in RTS (Real time strategy) games, I wondered if there any element from RTS that could be implemented and so the weather system was added as a main mechanic of the game, inspired from Rock-Paper-Scissors mechanic in RTS like Age of Empires 2. The idea behind is that to effectively survive in one environment weather state you need the resources from another environment weather state. There are 3 weather states:
Most of the game is finished, but still requires for mechanic polishing and bug solving. My goal before 6th February would be:
Even though it is not my first time making games, but certainly the first time making a BIG game for a public, so constructive opinion are welcomed
