Why does this orb need all this magic and wood anyhow? Like I get a sweet tower but what's in it for the orb?

Excellent game btw, can't wait for more!

I would play an entire game based around the mechanic of grappling onto things and then smacking (or smooching) them at the right time!

Amazing level of polish on the presentation front!

NOW THIS IS POD RACING.

Neat game! Excellent audio, and cool stuck-in-the-matrix kind of aesthetic that ties in well with the music.

Quite a short game of course, would love to see more. Some small gameplay polish elements like an aiming reticle or laser-sight would be nice, but found I could aim well even without it.

Cheers mate! The old flash games were the classics

Thanks! I've made the wires a lot easier to land on in a new build, I'll release it after the jam finishes if anyone is interested

The Bloon... I mean balloons must be popped!

Just played ORBLORGO today! Left a comment and rated it :)

"A sacrifice was made. Momentum was gained" cracked me up for some reason haha. Speaking of momentum, it felt good and was probably my favourite part of the game. Nice stuff!

Thanks for playing! The difficulty and feel definitely need some tuning I agree, I'm thinking of possibly adding an indicator or drop-shadow to better show where you are in relation to the wire, do you think that would help?

PS your game looks sick from the screenshots, I'll give it a jam when I'm back at my PC.

SFX would help a tonne, particularly for feedback on grabbing bananas and hitting balloons and birds. I just ran out of time! Thanks for playing and also for the in-depth feedback!

Excellent feedback on the squash-stretch animations and SFX, was surprised at how tight the controls were! I like the way the camera rotates a little with your movement, on top of the direct mouse input. Like others have mentioned a sensitivity slider on the camera would be good.

PS - web games seem to run terrible on my PC regardless of which browser I use. I'd love a download option as well!

This is an absolute killer of a jam game! Did you make this by yourself!? Good gameplay, concept, on-theme, has good sound effects and music, nailing all that in a week is sick! Only real critique I could think up was that I found myself wanting to aim my punches with the cursor.

Crazy level of polish on the art

Very fun and well made - it's tough to actually get a game feeling this smooth in such a short amount of time. Main weapon should probably just be auto-firing or at least allow holding space. Maybe a bit much visual clutter? But that adds to the chaos, and you can actually play around the clouds blocking your vision which is a neat game mechanic.

The speed lines and the camera FOV pulling back gives an amazing sense of speed. I did find myself holding shift pretty much 24/7, would also love if you could launch off of slopes!

Damn, great style especially on the main character's model and stop-motion-style animation. I think a bit less lock-in time on the attacks or possibly allowing you to still move slightly during the wind-ups would help the combat feel a lot. Real good stuff!

Ooh okay, I hadn't thought much about the variation in the wires / pylons themselves. Not sure how I would do curves but now I'm going to think about it. Loved Meltdown btw!

Ey thanks! You're right the game definitely needs more trick variety, particularly grinding to chain combos when out of energy... I'm cooking some silly ideas in my head for when I have time

Cheers! I added a bit of acceleration time on the movement because I noticed it was difficult to make small adjustments for example when trying to precisely line up a wire or balloon, but probably over did it. I'll probably tighten it up and make changing directions quicker. I really appreciate the feedback

This is a good concept! Would be interested in seeing this turned into a full game (already fun as though)

100%

Coming back after playing a bunch of other games, I think this is my fav so far! SPARTACUS

Top notch theme and presentation! I am a certified monkey but was able to run this nuclear power plant after only a few catastrophic meltdowns!
Note: The game seems to not work properly after retrying, needed to restart the application.

heeeell yeah duuude!

Nice! I had fun making it and definitely want to turn it into a proper game if people dig it, thanks for playing!

Excellent concept and puzzle design, and probably the most on-theme submission I've seen yet. Reminds me of those old flash games by Nitrome, where they would take one great unique idea and build a game around it.

Oh hell yeah love me some jungle-DnB style tunes

Cheers mate! If people are keen on this game I'd be down to keep developing it further - More tricks, better ways to chain combos, more enemies/objects, and yeah online leaderboards were all things I imagined but cut due to only having a week. Thanks for playing!

Nah the game is definitely too tough starting out, and yeah controller allows for a bit more precision which helps when landing on thin wires or lining up balloons. I appreciate the feedback!

Oh nice, I worry about the difficulty and game feel when I have so little time to test. Relieved to hear you were able to get used to it and have fun haha

"Sir the eyeball hands are growing in number!"
"...Fire the tactical cow."

Pixel art (bird and gun especially) are my favorite. Don't mean to brag but my frog got pretty big probably in the top 5% of frogs if I had to guess

Yo thanks, I absolutely had the old Tony Hawk games in mind while making this - the trick/combo text in the top right is straight out of that style of game

Thanks mate! Yeah I definitely need to spend more time tuning game feel and play-testing next time I do a Game Jam, I appreciate the feedback

I love the tension when opening doors as they slowly slide open letting you see what lurks beyond...

This game is great I spent 10 hours grinding just to beat Spartacus

Hey loved the game, don't mean to brag but my frog got pretty big

Damn this feels nice to play, the sound design and feedback on the animation is gooood
