ok, so not that much content, but I can see how you got stuck into the animations for the robot, that was very well done!
not sure if I am reading into this too much, but hear me out, only one of the npcs seems to interact with the player (I have named him skull crusher - not because he is violent, but because he gives excellent hugs) - I believe skull crusher to be the leader of the rest (who just really want to ask about your robot, but are too shy). judging by their looks I think people assume them to be monsters, but they are just misunderstood nerdy (yoked) hill folk, who enjoy making shiny pretty knives. anyone who would fire a missile at these peaceful folks is truly the monster. what I am saying is THE PLAYER IS THE ALIEN INVADER
This is probably the most time I have ever spent in a gam jam game, and it was really good all the way through! well done!
only thing I would add is to let you auto upgrade the weapons from the list -- I lost focus for a second and undid all the upgrades to one of my main weapons :'( - but excellent game and well implemented
Thanks for the feedback! the opponent balancing needs alot of love, as does the AI, the handling is eseentially the stock unreal chaos vehicle demo with a slight amount of tuning - but could definitely be better. if I ever carried on with this project i would add in multiple vehicle options with unique handling/health/performance
