It was a bit confusing for me that the attack options were on the "north" and "west" buttons...
I found it quite difficult to keep an overview and would be attacked from behind...
Nonetheless I managed to get to the finish line.
Loved the map design, style, atmosphere and music.
I am mixed about the mechanics and combat.
Ideas for future improvement:
- Change the speed of player rotation or the lock-on mechanism so that it's more intuitive to stay facing toward the enemies. (Main issues were the camera going into 90 degrees from the ground and spinning when locked on and close to a bigger enemy and getting behind walls).
- Add some more feedback to the combat, when hitting enemies and killing them, it feels kind of flat.
That was great - the soundtrack was well chosen. the combat was fun, just a few weird camera bits - but overall very fun! well done!
Nice immersive experience and mechanics, really enjoyed it
Loved the aesthetics of this game. What got me a little off balance was the controls in combination with the camera movement. I was a little lost at times, and it doesn't help that you can get stuck behind a pillar that way. Overall the game was very much fun to play and I really enjoyed it.
Cool game. I really like the atmosphere. All the assets used blend together so nicely.
Love it! It has a similar vibe to a mushroom game I submitted to last years!
That was awesome! so much fun
The movement and the animation of the characters felt good. I liked the addition of the lock-on. It did make the camera a little funny occasionally, but turning off lockon usually fixed that. Wish I had a game pad to try it the proper way!
Victory! It was foolish of the mushroom people to challenge someone with legs to a tournament where only one can be left standing. And, also, that king looks a bit... cactus-y.
Fun game! It controls well, and I appreciate it's one of the few games I've sound so far where I can use a controller. I liked the jump but mostly didn't find a use for it. The dash, comparatively, was very helpful. And dashing while jumping looked neat, if nothing else!
I found it best to do hit and run tactics with the heavy attack, except against the big blue mushrooms, which I stood face to face with and did light chops.
Everything looks good and the music gives the fight a more epic feel to it.
Thank you!
About the cactus, it was going to be the final boss hahaha, but I didnt had the chance to implement it, I'm glad you like it and thanks for the feedback!
I loved this! The shrooms are adorable and the gameplay is on point. The music was a little loud on entry but I didn't mind it. Great job! :)
Great mechanics and very nice story for the game!
Cool game! We really like the fighting mechanics, and the player movement is responsive. Great job!
Cool game! It worked really well with a a gamepad.
Visually it's nice, keyboard & mouse controls are not great and lack of quit is a shame, but overall it's a nice game.
Really liked the whole atmosphere. Also liked that you added various enemies and bosses.
Really Cool! Its beautiful and has nice music. its fun to play.
The controls aren't that easy on the keybord (rotating the camera does feel to slow for me.) and I cant quit the game after dying because i have no cursor. But you did a really good job!
Hey! Good job here! I'm definitely going to beat it later
the combat mechanics are very well polished and smooth, I would play it more, but have to rate other games as well. :)
Would be nice if I can skip the intro after the first playthrough. Nice entry!
