Thanks! and yeah I was aware of this issue, tried to add a zoom in and out to combat this issue, but didn't work out that well. Now I think of it, I guess adding an invisible collider could have worked out pretty well too.

Thanks for the feedback!

And in terms of presentation what are the things that needs improvement? Asking because I was thinking of continuing with its development after jam ends.

Liked the idea of playing as fish, it fits the theme very well. The game mechanics are well designed, and pretty fun to play. Whereas, the fisherman's footing bar was a bit buggy, but was able to finish the game, and the ending stats were hilarious 😂

Controls -

  • Rotate World: A and D
  • Zoom World: W and S

Story -

You are the god of shapes, who finds out that his child has gone missing in an unknown world. You plan to rescue him using your power of controlling world. In order to ensure balance, you make sure that you alter only certain elements of the world's physics.

You have to click over ":(" and rename it to ":)" 🙂

I liked the idea of the game. It was fun and simple, though the controls were a bit sloppy but maybe that was intensional. And yes I liked the music, it was well fit for the game. And the multiplayer mode you added was a solid idea for this game.

Overall it was a fun little game, though I think the controls could have been a little bit more smoother, but regardless of that a great entry to the jam! :)

Yeah I was aware of that jump glitch, it wasn't expected to be like that, but unfortunately there were quite a lot of things I wasn't able to finish and fix in time. Whereas, for crash screens, I think yeah I should have tried to make it like something that the player can somehow guess what the solution should be, perhaps some kind of hint. Clicking could also be a good idea as you said.

Thanks for the feedback, I will be keeping these things in mind and hopefully try to finish this game as soon as possible :)

Thank You! I'm glad that you liked it :D

The game was good. Though the bugpong level was quite hard. I wasn't able to find a way to figure out how to counter the bug and it was kinda random where the ball hit. I dunno if there was a way to counter those bugs or not, but I think a little meaning to those bugs rather than randomness could have been a better idea... or was there a way to counter the bugs? If there was, I think a little hint could have been helpful. Or was it intended to be played like that only? In that case, I think it's okay.

Though the second game was quite easy and I didn't find any challenge other than the bug going in the opposite direction.

But on the other hand, I liked the starting main menu music, it was good. Also, the quite feeling in the pong game without any music and only with sound effects was nice and chill too.

Overall, the game might have been a bit hard and confusing to figure out... still I enjoyed the feel of it. Also making a game within 3 days is no joke. You did a great job, well done! :)

Thank You! I am glad that you liked it :D

Haha I liked the humour of the game, though didn't quite get what exactly happened in the end. Whereas, the art and audio were really great. I liked the game's atmosphere and the music was so calm and relaxing.

And about the game mechanics, I didn't quite get how bugs were actually fixed according to the instructions, but I somehow managed to do so. And that shadow mechanic was cool too.

Overall, you nailed the theme damn good. Great work!

I liked the game art. Very well polished experience. Though at certain points I noticed that the player didn't came out of the portal that I expected, even though the colors matched. But either way, the level design was such that it helped me figure out my way out. Though I later read your description and it was supposed to be an intensional bug, and in that case it was well implemented.

Overall, the short little experience felt satisfying. Great game! :)

I liked the game's graphics and audio. It reminded me of games like Aladdin and Age of Mythology. And that sound when the player falls off or collides with an obstacle is freaking hilarious. Overall I enjoyed the fun ragdoll physics and the atmosphere of the game. Though attacking enemies was kinda buggy, as some of em didn't registered the hit.

Overall, a great funny jam entry. I loved the atmosphere of the game!

A good game. Though I was unable to figure out the main objective of the game till I looked at the comments. Other than that, I like the general idea of the game, though the control where we had to press LShift to jump higher was kinda hard to use. That could have made the controls a lot easier I think or instead you could have just used a normal double jump. Or is it that I am missing out something? I dunno. While those continuous swarms of enemies really gave me a hearbeat at moments lol. Unfortunately, the game was kinda hard for me and I wasn't able to finish it.

All I'd say is that the jumping mechanic was a huge challenge for me, especially with the amount of enemies coming from all directions, though the wall climb sure was a cool thing. Though I kinda along the way slightly lost interest in playing it further. But maybe because I just suck haha.

But nevertheless it's no easy task to make a game within 3 days. You did a great job, I liked the idea of the game. Keep up the great work! :)

It was fun. I liked the low poly art and the mechanics were great too. It could turn into something awesome, keep up the great work. And yeah what the freak you did with your itch page, I am totally amused by that... you just put a smile on my face out there 😆

Lol what the freak you did with the page. That's hilarious haha 😂

Wow the idea of the game was unique. Very great, I liked the level design and the challenge this game offered. Had a great fun playing it. Would be great if you can add a leaderboard system and more levels. I hope that you'd be working on the project after the jam ends :)

Ahh I see. This is indeed a strange problem. Though I don't think the object you said you added in the game could be the cause, as the same thing many people do in Unity as well. I dunno but this sure is a hella weird problem lol. I too faced it with my first game, though changing icon back to default worked for me.

But anyways, the game was really good, keep up the great work. And happy game developing!

Yeah I think going towards the route of mingame and interactive gameplay could have been a more feasible option for a jam. I think the idea of the main game was not feasible for me to be make within 3 days. I should have tried to somehow blend both properly and focus more on interactive side. Btw thanks for your kind words, I'm glad that you liked the minigame :)

Thank You! :) and yes the level was indeed too short and simple. As I was unable to complete the starting level in time. Though I tried to show the idea of the game, but in the end there were just many things left incomplete. I think I just spent more than needed time on other stuff in the game than the level design. But nevertheless, I will be working on this game anyways, as this game jam gave me quite a lot of ideas.

Sweet short little game. I liked the art and the music.

Btw as you said in the description that the game was being detected as a virus in some PCs. For that I have too experienced that problem earlier. I think it is related to the digital signatures of the exe file. And I dunno the case about other engines, but with Unity if we try to change the icon of our game then this problem occurs. As if adding our own icon removes the default digital signature or something from the exe file. So the solution that works for Unity is to not change the icon of the game.

I think you made it in some other engine, so not sure if this solution would work or not. But yeah these false warnings from antiviruses are sure not a pleasant thing for us game developers :)

Loved how simple and fun the game was and it stays true to the JAM's theme. The bugs/glitches in this game felt visually appealing. Great job!

I was scared that he won't forgive me if I let him free because in my first attempt I let him taste the wrath of the spikes because of my foolishness, but in my second attempt I was indeed able to rescue him but also to my suprise he didn't bite and flew away ignoring my past mistake.

That's the thing about our lord that he always forgive, and that's the reason he deserves the respect, and that's why we call him our lord.

Peace.

You have to change the ":(" text in the top left of the error message to ":)" 😀

I liked the game, the overall feel was good and gave me kinda old school vibes. Though it was kinda hard to predict the direction of the player once he takes off after jumping on those blue bars. Whereas, the invisible wall bug was pretty cool and btw that I wasn't able to figure out by myself until I saw another comment. At the moment I am at level 3, and haven't completed it yet as I am still trying to figure out how to reach the objective or if there is some hidden bug in the level.

Overall a fun game to play and dunno but for some reason it's visual and atmosphere gives me some sweet old school vibes which I like a lot.

lol I missed the sarcasm 😅

Where did the crash occur?

Thank You!  😀and yes time is never enough in a game jam. From now on, I will try not to think of ideas too ambitious or time taking. And not spend too much on UI and other stuff :P

I tried to recreate the problem, but the game didn't froze for me. Must be something I might be missing. But anyways, thanks for the feedback. I will have this issue in my mind when later fixing this game :)

Played this game...

After 5 mins, my aim is already better than Shroud 😎

Hmm was there any option to close the window? Or did it happened when the player dies?

Btw thanks for the feedback you gave about general polish of the game, I appreciate it. You see, that I spent like half of my time working on UI and small little details here and there, and maybe that was the reason that the game is too short and unfinished :P

Thanks a lot. I appreciate it 😀

Btw the music is not created by me, it is one of the freely available audios from ProductionCrate.

Were you able to get past the BSOD ? There is a short gameplay which is basically the main idea of the game. And that I wasn't able to complete it within 3 days unfortunately. So yeah it is very short and ends there.

I tried my best to complete it but it is very incomplete, but I will be working on this project regardless. As I think the topic of this jam has given me many great ideas. But as of now in the jam, this is all I was able to make 😅

You have to click the the sad emoji ":(" without quotation marks. And you'll see that it is an editable field. There just change that to ":)" and you're good to go! :)

A short fun little game. I liked it. And it was the first game out of all the submissions which I played without ever wanting to quit it in between. It fits perfectly with the given topic, as well as is simple and fun even without audio.

And the visuals were appealing and simple, which played a great part for the enjoyability of the game.

Yes exactly same here. I too want to record my work but unfortunately I don't have enough free HDD space, and also since the recording is done continuously... meaning for countless hours and days, so I believe the file size must be pretty huge. So I guess we need an extra HDD for that right?
