Rule 2: All submissions must be created in the time period listed above. Premade assets must be declared and given credit to, and NO AI IS PERMITTED in the creation of code, art or music.

so yeah disqual

okay that makes more sense, and in that case take me thinking it was premade assets as a compliment!!! I think the starlight could use some more distinction in the environment as I initially just thought they were flowers, but yeah that makes a lot more sense, so my bad

has literally nothing to do with the theme or anything relevant to this jam; was submitted to other jams without actually being worked on any

The staircase rooms were fine looking similar, as they had numbers to distinguish them, but I feel like the actual floors themselves need more variety, as they all use the same floor, walls, tables, etc. Maybe some floors being carpetted or having wood flooring instead of the tile would help, as well as having more debris and objects in the environment like water coolers or different desk variations. I also think there should be a way to regain sanity, as (as far as I was aware), you only lose it and if you don't know where youre going its very easy to waste sanity looking around empty areas

the artwork is literally the best ive ever seen (ignore that i made it lmao)
camera struggles to keep up with player when moving vertically, its easy to fall directly from one of the intended cliffs into a pit obstacle which you couldnt see, the hand  obstacles dont appear to do anything and jumping feels like it slows down the pace of the game

opening cutscene is REALLLY COOLLL, but the rest of the game has no direction or gameplay, theme is not really present outside of the environment

The art of the angel is cool, but other than that theres very little gameplay besides a very slow dodging minigame and clicking through some dialogue. Theme is not really present, the audio doesnt really work as battle music, though it works well in the opening dialogue of the game.

Love the art style, lots of fun mechanics, this was extremely well done!!!! I'd love to see more levels or mechanics added in the future <3

I love the atmosphere and graphics, it looks amazing, though as other commenters have said, the player walks tediously slow. I also felt that fighting enemies was confusing and slow, and I had trouble getting one of the miners to the bonfire as he kept getting stuck

Extremely creative and funny, not much gameplay or soundwork as its a google slide, but honestly I enjoyed it!

the sprite is adorable >x< game is short, but the endless mode after you win gives you more to do. I'd love to see this expanded on outside of the jam, maybe more puzzle elements? either way, good game !

The art and music is amazing, game is really creative!!! I like the idea of having to scavenge for a nightlight while trying to keep the monsters away, although if you center the flashlight on yourself you become immortal. There's also some collision issues with walking against obstacles (especially the bed in the beginning room). Overall I really really like it :) :)

I love the atmosphere,  the explanation of the theme just being "horror" doesn't really make sense, but it follows the theme fairly well regardless. You can use the skyline to find the shapes of the candles without needing to hold out your lighter, and if you stand with your lighter the monster will walk right up to the candle and stand you down. I love the atmosphere, using the footsteps to locate the monster is great, I hope you work on this outside of the jam

really creepy, genuinely had me scared at first. Once you figure out how the angels work though, its pretty easy to coral them all together and it just becomes a game of babysitting them until you stumble on the keys. Great vibes, needs more variety

Really fun, gets more difficult over time without feeling impossible, the cosmetic system adds a lot of replayability
Would love to see more done with this in the future!

Good graphics, simple gameplay, gets repetitive but still nice, great use of theme!

Fun little walkaround game, theme is nonexistent, music doesn't really go with the gameplay very well. I'm assuming these are premade assets but they arent disclosed as such so I could be wrong on that

Every floor looks the same, character has weird white outline, music track is a bit annoying, though I like that it increases in pitch as the character becomes more overwhelmed.

character controls feels good, remote that you can pickup has no difference between the other remote that cant be picked up, which caused some confusion. Majority of lights just have switches, would like to see some more variety, but otherwise good!! Since the description says its to save on energy costs, I think replacing the timer with a counter of how much money on the electrical bill you've wasted could be a good way to better show the objective of the game. Otherwise, fun little entry!!

Fun little platformer/puzzle game, I like the idea that the fire that you need to light the torches can also be used as a super jump! No sound, gust obstacle only appears once, and if you fall off the world you don't get reset.

BWAH ITS REALLY GOOD I LOVE THE TRANSTITION BETWEEN LEVELS AND THE MUSIC LOOP!!! Wasn't able to rank it but I would've def ranked it 5 star for presentation if i could. Square sticks to walls, you can fix this by applying a physics layer to the walls and setting the friction to minimum mix. 3rd level confused me with the two keys but i was able to just jump over the bottom lock thingy so I assume I did it correctly? I think the key/lock might need more explanation. I hope you add to the game outside of the jam, it would make a really good sort of lo-fi style relaxing puzzle/platformer

Fun, browser embed was too small (as in the sniper and pistol were out of view on the selection screen). The assault rifle and smg should probably have auto-fire instead of me having to manually click for each shot, and I'm assuming theres an ammo counter as I have to wait for the gun to shoot after so many bullets, but if there is UI for it, it's out of view of the embed. Fun, but would like to see the embed fixed to show the rest of the screen

Fun graphics, smooth controls, boss is cool (if a bit easy), enemies don't do damage to you if you stay in contact with them while on damage cooldown, meaning if you get surrounded you can be trapped in the enemies as bullets don't damage enemies that are next to you. Otherwise quite fun!

Incredible visuals, good ambient track, a bit tedious to figure out where the graves are and you can cheese the ghost enemies with the goomba stomp, overall very nice

Very fun concept, amazing music loop, I liked being able to just walk through as your ghosts do all the work after enough deaths, but you can just dash past everything to skip all the enemies if you wanted. Maybe if each area was locked behind a door and you had to defeat every enemy? Maybe also you were limited to how many previous ghosts could be in an area so you couldn't just gaurantee a win by throwing yourself at it over and over? Very good idea, would love to see this worked on outside of the jam <3 (but no pressure of course)

couldn't download, a shame since the screenshots look really cool ToT

thank you ^x^

Probably my favorite use of the prerequisite, absolutely love the idea, browser gameplay is miserable and ive found melee combat to be quite challenging to pull off, but I would love to see you work on this idea more outside of the jam <3 <3 <3

really fun, amazing idea, a bit tedious to win unless you keep the demons attracted to you by using a ghost as bait

very fun, i like how the enemies can damage eachother so you can trick crowds into killing themselves, the camera movement is a bit choppy but otherwise the game is quite good !!!! Would like to see more variety in playstyle while alive, maybe you'd be able to select upgrades on levelup? Very good !!

really nice platformer, controls are smooth, will say that the jump sound can get a bit annoying when you're scrambling up the side of a wall, and the mouse felt a bit too sensitive, but that could just be my fault. I like the idea of going ghost mode after a dash to utilize both abilities, overall solid game

no art, you can just stand on the top-right to ignore the enemies, enemies can pile up on the bottom right, losing health doesnt seem to do anything, bullets can be erased if the player is moving in the same direction (shooting down while falling especially)

very sweet game, got an error for 'ending' being undefined (i clicked the left-most option to help clean)

weezer

its beautiful

Really cute idea!!! funny dialogue and good music loop, and the message is sweet

theres a bug where sometimes you cant draw over certain pixels and have to fiddle with the colors to draw over it, otherwise i think its very nice
