How does your game follow the theme?
My protagonist dies from lack of light. There are glowing orbs and lighthouses that return the glow to the surroundings.
Did you use any pre-made assets? If so, credit them here:
I used a song by Tim Beek and a few sounds from Shapeforms and BenKirb

The artwork was nice , specially the thumbnail. game controls seemed nice too. camera zoom was bit tricky. it would give really good game juice if camera zoomed when you fly.
Good character design always makes it memorable which means it can be expanded upon.
This is a really good proof of concept for this sort of game! Your pixel art is adorable without being distracting and everything fits in nicely. While generally I find 2D platformers are pretty common among game jams due to being some of the easiest games to make, I think this one takes a fun spin on that by adding the area mechanic that drains and adds health depending on your proximity to a lamp. That said, there is definitely some that could be worked on in terms of mechanics, as it feels a little sticky when she lands, a little floaty when she jumps and kind of hard to control when she flies. This game excels in its atmosphere, adherence to theme and general graphics all around. I would have liked to see the bossfight if you were able to make it, but pivoting to an endless mode is a clever way to ensure the game doesn't just end abruptly for the player. Still, maybe it would have been fun to be able to fly in the endless chamber too...
all in all, it's a solid game jam product. Good work!
I really like the feel of this prototype and the lights and posts are distributed well enough to traverse without dying too much. The background might look nice if it had a cave wall or tall dark trees in the distance.
Yes I thought about it, but I'm still getting used to pixel art and I wasn't having success with the background. But thanks for your comment!
You're welcome. Sometimes keeping it simple is best, especially in a prototype.
I loooove how cute she looks.
Yo this game is so good ,I didn't know what to do most of them time :/ But great game overall ,I liked the wing mechanics and and the music too :D The art was beautiful!
I think it's a bit confusing because of the camera, it has too much zoom that you can barely see the surroundings and the paths. But by the time I got people to try it and tell me about the problem, I no longer had time to update it xD Thanks:D💛
El arte va en la artería 🗣️🗣️‼️
Primer comentario en español, gracias xD
the art is really good! i think if the camera was widened like it was right before the end the game would be better, i think theres no reason why the camera needs to be so close to the player! other than that nitpick!, love the art, really liked the kinda mini metroidvania feel!, you def moved faster when you jump which is weird but i kinda liked it, this is already really good to be made for a jam!, hope you get more out of it!
I always have a problem with the camera zoom, and yes, Now that I see the code, the character moves about 100px faster while jumping than when he is on the ground. Thanks for your comments :D
I liked the sincerity in the final text, haha. Cute.
At first, I thought it was a platformer with stages, but with the wings, it gave off more of a Metroidvania vibe, like Hollow Knight, where you revisit areas with upgrades you’ve unlocked. Either way, that shift works really well. Anyway, I agree with the rest of the comments: if expanded, the game will be even cooler and cuter than it already is.
And, in my opinion, thinking about it, the final mini-game seems infinite, so it’s A BOSS FIGHT.
Yes, the truth is I wanted to do something like "Ori", but I'm a very beginner in level design.
Thank you for all the positive things in your comment!💛 I plan to extend the game sometime.
the sparkly little eyes are so cute
Thanks!:Honestly, that's the little thing I liked about my game xD
the sprite is adorable >x< game is short, but the endless mode after you win gives you more to do. I'd love to see this expanded on outside of the jam, maybe more puzzle elements? either way, good game !
Thank you! yes, I tried to keep it short and finishable for the Jam, I had several problems over time so everything didn't go as planned.
The Sprite is so cute omg. Very chill and enjoyable gameplay. Ill definitely revisit if you get around to making a bossfight! :3
Thanks💛 Someday! someday... xD
Very solid platformer and cool art. I also liked the endless game at the end. Overall very good :D
Thanks! :D It was last minute, but I'm glad you liked it💛
