Thanks for playing! If you scroll down on the game’s page, you’ll find a walkthrough to guide you through the game. Hope that helps!

Thanks so much! We’ve always been a fan of Valve’s dry humor and we wanted to incorporate that into an inspired game. It was a ton of fun to sprinkle all of the references and jokes as we built up the scene.

Very cool spin the concept! Art was great and audio replicated. Though, like many of the comments below, it took me quite a bit to get the hang of the game as I didn't know moving the purple blocks into the sockets was a pivotal mechanic of the game. If this is made more clear, it would make a world of a difference.

The concept is very cool; certainty disorientating at first, but gets you thinking about multiple perspectives at once. The biggest thing that threw me off however was the camera. When I had too many viruses, I couldn't tell how many I had or even where some of them were as they were on the other side of the level. Definitely a concept though that you can develop upon!

Nice game! The movement felt nice and the audio really helps dig in a satisfying clarity when obtaining items. I wasn't too sold on the application of theme, however; it felt more like I was still the same section and it continued to load in front of me. Though I did have a good time playing!

Honestly, the comedic timing was impeccable. I was surprisingly entertained despite there never being more than three circles on the screen at once.

Interesting game! Not gonna lie, even though I know the theme, I seriously thought "The End" of the first level was the end for a second lmao. I would love to see more on the audiofront, but a nice take on the theme!

Thanks a ton! And yeah, definitely, we wanted to have an ending cutscene to round out the game, but unfortunately we had to put that on the burner because we were already tight on schedule finishing the game. However, it is something we plan on revising post-jam. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for playing our game! We processed the theme as a Time Loop, where each time you go through a loop you learn more knowledge of the world, like Outer Wilds. As such, you know more in the beginning because you had to experience the end. And yes, we wanted to create a funny world for people to explore in as well. Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks so much! After this jam, we are definitely considering adding more levels. There's so much we wanted to explore but we pushed it too close to the deadline. Appreciate you playing!

Thanks a ton! Having multiple dice definitely helped spice things up for the later levels.

Thanks a ton! For the sounds, I took one of my D&D dice, a d6 (just a dice with arabic numerals, lol), and rolled it across a hollow surface. I think it turned out great for the minimal effort!

Haha, thanks so much! I wanted the game to play as much as a physically accurate boardgame as possible. Glad you enjoyed the game! And yes, the undo was a great touch.

Thanks a ton! Also, 100% yes? Co-op is always a great idea.

Thanks a ton!
As the artist and composer for this game, I totally agree haha. We started making more levels close to the deadline, so we didn't have as much time as we wanted to playtest. Definitely something to consider for the next jam!

Thanks a ton! We wanted to make sure all of our concepts and mechanics were dialed in as best as possible, and I think it turned out great!

Thanks so much!

Thanks so much!
And yeah, unfortunately it was an artifact of the web build we didn't catch in time. Maybe lore-wise you forgot your glasses on this level? Haha.

Thank you! Once we settled with a boardgame-style, making the UI "physical" felt like too good of an idea to pass up.

Thanks so much!

Awesome concept! Not sure if there was meant to be damage, but I found myself to be invincible. Would love to see more enemies, or other means of progression!

Pretty fun concept! However, I was able to absolutely cheese the entire game since you can still roll and attack even if you get "game over." So I simply set up a build with attack and beer and I was basically invincible.

Sweet concept! I did end up dying a lot to my own die, but when I could control it, it was fun!

Congrats for making one of your first games! I will admit, I had absolutely no idea what was going on, but that was probably due to the fact that the text at the beginning was cut off. But the physics are pretty fun!

Not bad! The concept was cool and definitely got me thinking! I was able to roll the dice through some of the orange obstacles, however, and you can roll the dice sometimes off the edge. While graphics aren't everything, this game would hugely benefit from more readability. Oftentimes, I found myself second-guessing how a dice should roll or if I'm supposed to be able to jump up somewhere.

Overall, fun game!

The entire gameplay was pretty chaotic, so I think that was a mission success.

However, I found myself annoyed at the character's movement. It felt sluggish and more like I was not in control. I think if you make your player movement more enjoyable, the game will feel much better as well.

And as other's said, having no sound did kill the vibe. I'd recommend if you don't have anyone to write sound or music for you, to find royalty free stuff online. Even if it's not the best, sound is still sound, and it will seriously help the feel of your game!

That was loads of fun! Movement, shooting, and general gameplay was pretty addicting.

The only thing I wasn't sold on was the theme. While the arena was pretty dangerous and hard to traverse, I wasn't sure if it was necessarily "chaotic." But regardless, a fun game came out of the concept!

Pretty chaotic, but probably for other reasons? For some reason the spirits became massive speed boosts and i found myself zipping through the map. Even if it wasn't intentional, there were a lot of goofy things that made the game surprisingly enjoyable.

A guard hit me or something at one point and I found myself on the other side of the map??

I wasn’t looking at the time, but I lost I think as soon as In the Hall of the Mountain King ended? It was the second piece that played.

That was a fun game! managed to get a score of 3190 (or somewhere in there). Managing multiple snakes was already hard enough, so managing them when they're going different speeds was a really fun challenge!.
That was a thrilling spin on snake. Awesome job.

Feel free to check out our game if you have the time as well!

(1 edit)

Love the concept! Definitely made me second guess myself when I thought I had cleaned something just to see it return.

Would've definitely loved to see the game a bit more tipped into chaos. While the game was interesting, it didn't feel too much like chaos and more of just a regular cleaning simulator.

Overall good work though! Always great to see Suzanne make her way into games. Feel free to rate our game as well!

For starters, great job on your first Brackey's submission! Overall, you definitely sold the "Chaos" theme.

However, I think the chaos really downplayed a lot of the games mechanics. Often, I found myself having absolutely no control of my character, and my high score was achieved out of pure luck. When I wanted to jump through the platformer, my character would either not jump or fly off into the other direction. I would definitely love to see more player control if you were to improve on this game! It would make traversing the level so much more enjoyable and allow players to appreciate your chaotic platforms.

If you have time, check out our game! A semi-rouguelike shooter.

Great game! Fun gameplay and concept that has a ton of potential. Takes the 2048 concept and applies it to a conventional puzzler. I got stumped multiple times and it was extremely satisfying when I finally solved them.

Now, as a composition major: Music-wise, I think it works well with the gameplay! But if I'm being extremely picky and constructive, I'd recommend looking into mastering and general mixing techniques to further improve your music. (Again it works, this is just being extremely picky; I think it's good!), the bass was a bit too much and muddy,  the drums could be loads louder, and there wasn't much high end to my tastes (the lead felt too soft and muddy as well). Hope that helps!

Overall great game! I enjoyed the mechanics and there's definitely a lot you can make from them. I had fun solving each level!

If I'm to give any complaints, as a composer, I think sound design felt a bit off. I think using piano notes as your "jump" is quite unique and interesting, but it often clashed with the music. I often write music to blend perfectly with the sound design. If the music covers up the in-game audio (or vice versa), then it's better to rewrite it to better compliment each other. Again, unique concept, but doesn't blend very well with the background music.

Also, I found a hidden flower and ended up beating the game with 11/10 stars. Was that intentional? Haha

Thank you so much! Doing sound design and music for jams is tons of fun and I'm glad you enjoyed it along with our game.

Slime types do sound quite interesting! During predevelopment, we had a vision of keeping things simple but, especially if we add more levels, that could definitely add some great end-game complexity. Thanks so much for the feedback!
