Liked the dialogue being sprinkled in. Found it a bit funny. And the sound of the dialogue for some reason is just soo satisfying to me. You really keep the "It is not real" theme going in the game. The subtle help texts like "Press R when you are stuck" or the space button on the dialogue box really helped. Also the boss fight was great.

However I found a bug: after running into spikes, the player stayed white for a while. I think until the next transition.

Congratz on completing your first game. Also doing this within a week as a first project really is remarkable.

I think its good that players can activate buttons to see what they do! But i see now why you disabled it for some of them, its a game jam, cuts have to be made.

Super neat idea and pretty fun to play. Its also does a decent job at introducing the mechanics.

Some buttons felt inconsistent, as to what they can be activated with. There was a button which wouldnt activate when i stood on it, thats not a big issue but consistency is important i think.

Congratz on submitting a solid game!

The art style is super nice, the story is also good. I would have loved some indicator (like a outline around the object) additionaly to the cursor changing when i hover over things i can interact with. Overall this is a game i would recommend to people who like the point and click genre.

Congratz on submitting your first jam game!

It is really immersive, especially with the audio. Gives me kind of "Papers Please" vibes , which is definitely a good thing. I think with more polish and a bit of variety this could be really fun. The story felt a little on the shorter side (which is fine considering its just a jam), but had a nice twist.

Good job and congratz on submitting!

Battleroyale was a bad idea..
-Here lies Battlerite

The gravestones are funny :D

Its a fun game with a cool boss battle, it took me way too long to understand the mechanic with the blood stains tho. In the beginning i was just guessing, maybe a hint towards the existence of that mechanics could help a bit.

Overall a good submission, congratz!

Its a fun little game, with some really nice visuals and audio.

I dont think Harry Perry should be able to pick up a letter when he just got hit by a table three times his size. Other than that its really fun :D

A quite fun game, i wonder if its a good choice to put a approval stamp across mona lisas face if its the real one haha.

One tiny little thing you couldve improved is that on landscape paintings the notes can block the serial number, making it a tiny bit annoying. This is super nitpicky, so dont take it too harsh please, i just like to give feedback on what could be improved.

Congratz on submitting a great entry to the jam!

All in all a solid game. Art style and audio feels consistent and everything fits together well. If you were to continue working on the game. I'd recommend giving the player hints at the start on how the ctrl key is used for interaction. Also I think the combat needs a bit more depth. For me just spamming dream and psychosis felt pretty overpowered.

Really like the game. At the beginning it is a bit unclear what skills I can use and also which attacks are real and which are not. I think some kind of tutorial would help. Otherwise a really nice game.

Wanted to point out some issues, but just read that you did the game in just one and a half days. So I'd like to recommend using git or some other kind of version control in the future. So that unity breaking down won't be an issue anymore. Just a recommendation :)

Art and audio are super nice, also i love games which have a settings menu for audio and stuff.

Maybe you could have introduced the need for switching dimensions a little earlier or the mechanic as a whole a little later, since it felt kinda uneccessary in the first few levels, as it didnt make any sense to not used the orange dimension. Please dont take this too harsh as it is really nitpicky and i just wanted to give you something to improve upon.

Congratz on submitting a well made platformer for the jam!

The idea is really cool and could be expanded upon a lot. It is fun to play and most of the graphics look pretty polished for a jam!

If i had to suggest something, i would say it sometimes could use a little more player feedback. It could be a little clearer when i get hit by something, the current effect is a little easy to miss in all the action.

The idea is pretty nice, at first i tought it looks a bit empty (because of the background in the tutorial). But that changed once you got into the game, it looks really good!

I dont have any real critique, which isnt already mentioned in other comments.

This is a super good submission, congratz!

I can see where you wanted to go with this. Unfortunate that you ran out of time, the spirtes in the end which didnt make it looked really cool and like they couldve added a lot to the game. I also love the idea of using the stuffed animal as an inventory.

One thing that could be improved upon is the camera movement, i think it would help if it was a little smoother and not as abrupt sometimes.

Congratz on submitting!

The 3d assets are polished to a degree that it shows where you guys ran out of time, like the crosshair being a bit blurry, which is something i usually wouldnt even mention in a comment.

Obviously the graphics are insane (some neat shaders aswell), the music was also really fitting. I didnt know that the amount of times you mix an egg has such a big impact on the outcome.

Congratz on submitting an awesome game guys!

A really fun little game with some neat mechanics and a nice aesthetic. The only thing i wish is for it to be a bit longer.

Congratulations on this solid submission!

The wallrun unfortunately seems buggy in the tutorial for a small amount of people. We never encountered that behaviour during play testing, altough we did a lot of it.

Hope you had fun anyways, thanks for playing!

The audio is suprisingly great, i love the narration and the gibberish when they talk. Visuals are also pretty nice! Its really funny when you got Ghandi saying he was a great roman emperor :D

I really liked the game so dont take my critique too harsh, those are just minor things i noticed.

The ending could be a tad bit more satisfying.

One time Thomas Jefferson didnt give me an answere, so i just had to guess. And if you ask Einstein where he is from, he responds with new jersey which is his place of death, not where he is actually from.

I had quite a lot of fun with the game and i think you did a really great job, congratz on submitting!

I liked the unsetteling atmosphere the game gave me and the cinematic when looking out of the window suprised me, it definetly added alot to the vibe.

I think the game could do a better job on explaining what to do tho.

Going through the dark maze level which lights up as you explore i personally felt kinda lost, since youre usually facing the direction youre going, i didnt see much most of the time in there.

Congratz on submitting your first game jam entry!

The game looks and sounds great, its definiely giving me some kind  of retro console vibes.  Jumping felt a bit floaty and the camera could have used a lot less smoothing i think, the auto aim helped a lot to combat that tho.

I also like the variety of enemies and that you got to kill a random fish.

Good job and congratz on submitting!

The game looks and sounds good, apart from the weird behaving parallax effect which others already mentioned. I dont know all too much about story writing but this one seemed good and solid to me, knowing it was made during a game jam.

Considering it is supposed a walking simulator/story game, the controls felt suprisingly smooth. I think the squish and squash of the character sprite when jumping helped a lot with this.

Overall this is a really good submission, which i can only recommend to play, good job!

Wow thank you! Im glad you liked it.

The game has an interesting atmosphere. Feels a bit like Papers Please to me, which is a good thing. But it feels too slow for me though.

I like how everything seems very polished. The speech sound and speed is different for the Thief from the main character for example. Love little details like that. That there is no more content after only a week is understandable. But it seems like some solid groundwork to me.

Its a super fun turn based game, with cheesy humor. I love the character sprites, only the ui could have used a tiny bit more polishing i think (my screen is wqhd, so that might have had an impact), but other than that this is a great submission!

I like how you integrated the theme using the storyline. Something I think could be improved is to make clearer, where the player can walk and where the walls block the player.

Yeah thats on us, we only realised it after submitting, im sorry.

I hope you had fun with the zip file anyways :D

Thank you very much for playing. To the part with the sounds effects, that probably was because you turned it down a little too much haha. And i agree, the menus where a little basic, we kind of threw them together last minute. (Oh boy, estimating how long something will take in a 48 hour jam is hard)

(And yes, you might have recognized me (Johnny) from one of the Brackeys Game Jams, atleast i recognized you when i read that name :D)

Also, If there were a category on smallest game size you'd definetly win. Somehow I like the Idea of going with a python script.

Hey, you hardcoded the paths E:\JoinedTogether\Assets\ into the game. You should change that so that the path to the asset folder is relative to the current working directory. You could use os.cwd()

I fixed the paths locally and played through the game. I liked it :).

Things I'd change: The visibility of the objects is not that great. Make them stand out a bit more. Also you should add that you can reset with ctrl+R in the How to play text.

Congratz on submitting!

Congratz on submitting! If you'd continue this project, I think it would be very important to add a radius around the player in which no new objects can spawn :).

Great game. You managed to make the game fun, but have only one way the player can interact with the game. The simplicity works really well here imo. Congratz!

A very nice game. I agree with everything disguifi said. Additionally, i think it is pretty impressive you made three different soundtracks. Imo they also fit very well.

If you were to continue developing the game I'd suggest adding a menu while playing so it is possible to abort a game. Also the first thing I'd change is being able to snip a line, when being right in front of it while switching to scissors :). Keep it up.

The green bullet attracts enemies on hit and the orange one pushes them away. Some people had trouble realizing that, we shouldve communicated the difference more clearly.

Thank you for the feedback!

Great game. Love the idea. A little buggy, but definetly something you can build on :)

Awesome meachnaic. It's a lot of fun. Feels like one of those games that is easy to learn but hard to master. Good job!

I can see where you wanted to go with this. A bit sad you didn't have the time. Keep it up!

Love the art. Jumping felld awesome. The wiggly animations are nice. The last level really is challenging but I had a lot of fun playing the game!
