Is it possible to block someone on itch.io? I just saw that one of my ratings is by a family member who is stalking me irl. It doesn't matter that they game me 1 star really, cause I only have three ratings over all. But it wasn't nice to see that, and I'd just rather not interact with them at all. But I don't know itch.io well enough to know if you can do that.
My game froze in the WebGL browser, but not in Unity Editor, so I rebuilt it as an executable file. I hope it works: https://tiarali.itch.io/dead-or-alive
I finished my game! I tested it and it was fine! And now it has a game breaking bug. And I don't know why. Can I upload it as a download so people can see what I was trying to do or am I just done?
I know it's my fault for having my code in such a mess that I can't find the problem, but as the clock ticked I just went as hard as I could :/
Edit: Nevermind, I got it working as a pc build, just not a WebGL build (it always freezes at the same point, I don't know why). So maybe it'll be ok.
They mentioned Scratch as a possibility in one of the livestreams. I don't know much about Scratch (my kids have used it, but I haven't) so I don't know if you can upload a WebGL or if you'd have to make it available to download, but as far as I know it's definitely possible. You have to submit your "source" which is your actual code as well. But yeah, I vote go for it :)
Hey. This is my first major game jam. I think I'm doing ok, but I know I'm focusing mostly on stuff I've done on tutorials before, and I'm worried about the few new features that I have yet to implement where I'm going to have to apply my knowledge to a new situation :/ So it could all come crashing down.
My big problem seems to be staying focused. On Saturday I did so well! I breezed through it. Yesterday I needed a bit of a break. Today I just don't wanna. But I work tomorrow, so I feel like I need to do as much today as I can. Anyone got any ideas on how to stay focused and motivated when you have a close deadline? I think it's particularly hard for me because I don't have a realistic idea of how long different things will take to implement yet. So I don't know if I need to allow extra time for the menu screens or the audio yet. So it looks like I've got a pretty good start (set up two basic levels of a simple platform game - I've just completed the 2D course). But I don't know how to pace myself.
So yeah. Surely I'm not the only one struggling?
Hi. I've had this game on my steam wishlist for ages, and just found out that you can download the alpha version, which is awesome.
I'm just having trouble with some of the gameplay aspects.
Mining is referenced in the tutorial, but I can't work out where to go to mine.
I've managed to kill zombies and research them/mulch them. But how do you get live zombies? And what is the point of researching them? Is it just to give you more information about them?
Thanks.
