thank you!

That was funny. Probably the only game in this Jam where being alone is a good thing lol

The neon look is really cool! The controls are also pretty fun and challenging. Only issue is if you accidentally shoot yourself backward you get to the point where the turret can't reach in some spots.

Pretty cool game! The fact you only had a week to make this and its online is insane!

I think this is the issue here. There's like 2 full screen buttons layered over each other. One of the gives the game the minimal screen box the other one actually goes full screen.

Played your game and left a rating and comment. The art was absolutely amazing! Here's a link to my game and feel free to leave a critique, don't hold back I'm still pretty new to this! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-8/rate/1678074

The art and graphics in this game are amazing! It got a bit repetitive herding the sheep, but I suppose that's the life of a shepherd!

I like the puzzle aspect to the game. Unfortunately I couldn't get the + button to appear in the top corner either. I toggled into full screen and all as well. If you're using Unity you can make it conform to any screen but setting the UI Rect Transform to show at a portion of the screen. This explains it better than I can: Text boxes keep on moving in Unity - Game Development Stack Exchange

I love the style of play. Only critique is that I'd enjoy clicking around like that and having the ability to turn the camera as well. Fun game though! Thank you for creating the universes most agile fruit.

Awesome game! Very smooth and I loved how the clone chased you.

5/5 on Audio just for the "Froggy" after I gave it a banana lmao

Very awesome gameplay! The lighting and animation from the monsters were so simple and innovative!

The combat combo system was cool. Was a little hard to navigate fighting and not falling back to the bottom with spikes. Very good for a first combat game though! I have yet to do that myself!

I like the gameplay, throwing the key and solving puzzles. It's a little buggy when holding the key (some violent shakes) and the puzzles could be a bit more challenging. I like where this game is heading though!

Some nice simple gameplay but you did and awesome job adding a story to it. The pixel art was also very cute!

Pretty cool platformer! Was hard but rewarding. I like the concept of switching stats at the beginning to help navigate and solve your way through the map. Very well done!

I liked the art design of the character and monsters. The special abilities like the cape glide were a nice touch too. Making my own 2D platform game for this Jam I wish I was able to implement some of the things you did! Another thing I might recommend is adding a bit of a kickback to the monster when you hit it. That way the combat is a bit easier!

Great game! Loved the ambiance of the music and the gameplay.

I like the QuickTime play style. I'm not sure if the point system works or if I'm just playing it wrong haha. Pretty cool concept culturally though!

Thanks for the critique!

This was awesome. It's so well put together, the retry button doesn't work but that's my only critique. The story made sense, the lighting and effects put in there were just amazing!

Fun game. Hearing that scream after every time I died was so aggravating it ended up being a great motivator!

I liked the theme of the game, being silly and dark. Also the jump sound effect was a nice touch! The camera controller was a little rough. I had a similar project in the past, I recommend using the Cinemachine Dolly feature. Its a lot smoother and pretty easy to implement, especially if you're going left to right from the side.

I like that it's a top-down survival. The graphics and the art could use some love, stuff like making the trees and monsters pop out. Portable instructions would be nice too!

I struggled with the puzzles which made it fun. The dials for the signal game were a bit frustrating because they wanted left and right movement rather than a circle one if that makes sense

Awesome game! The animations, camera panning, narration all of it seems very well done and almost a completely finished product. Tell Nancy I'm sorry for scaring her given her heart condition ):

I like the puzzle aspect and the ways to solve them were really creative! Found a bug on the second level where if you raise the lava and then use the demon to click the top button it turns the lava into a black blob. And if you cut yourself off from that button in the bottom left there's no way to put the lava back down, which I somehow did.

I like the music. The playstyle was definitely experimental but I thought it was a cool concept. I couldn't really figure out what to do or what the objective was because I kept getting turned around, would panic and run from the zombs.

Trailblazing a bunch of zombs never gets old. I like how helpful the friends you pick up actually are while still not being so helpful the game isn't challenging anymore.

Very creative way to use the UI, definitely a time-killer.

I like the smooth movement, the lighting, and all of the sound effects. Only thing is I think some ambiance music could really help out on this one. Like a creepy tone that gets louder the closer you get to the lurking monster. Anything to make it a little easier because that dude has just murdered me without a second of hesitation 3 times in a row. Great game though!

Of course, thank you!

The dialogue is definitely the strong point. I wrote the movement script quick and dirty so I couldn't agree more! Thank you!

You bet!

Definitely inspired by Stray. The theme you are not alone fit pretty well with that game if you think about it. You're underground with a bunch of robots, who have personality, but only to an extent. I wanted that game to end a little differently, so this rendition is basically that!

Thanks for the critique. I agree the movement and physics were not the strong point. I made that script from scratch quick and dirty.

Oh you know it.

I'm sure there's already some pending lawsuits (;

Thanks for the critique! I agree that the movement is definitely buggy. I wrote the player movement script from scratch and did it quick and dirty. (if you use Unity) I used the Translate Function for left and right movement and the rigidbody.AddForce for the jumps. I slowed the speed down for the jumps that way the character couldn't fly across huge gaps while jumping. It definitely took away from the movement experience, but I felt it made it more challenging so I decided to stick with it.
