How does you game fit the theme?
You are possibly the last cat on the face of the Earth, with nothing but robots to light the way. Until you save your family.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
No

Great job!
Cool game! I liked how you could talk to all the robots as it makes the world feel alive! I also liked how the levels were designed! Good job! :D
This is pretty cinematic for just a week! I actually really enjoyed myself. Some of the colliders are a bit wonky and the jumping is just a bit stiff, but overall I really enjoyed myself. I love how you pulled a Bowser axe for the final boss.
Any game with adorable cats is already a win in my book.
Running around and talking to all the robots was really interesting, and I loved their dialouge. Movement was a little heavy but I've certainly seen (and made) worse.
Unfortunately, the end robot got stuck for me and just sort of vibrated in mid air. But other than that the game was mechanically fine.
Great submission!
This was a really cute game! I'm not sure exactly which assets were original, since you said you didn't make all the assets/code from scratch, but I very much liked the art and music regardless. I think the level design was very intuitive, dialogue was funny and helpful, and I appreciated the credits/outro section you had at the end.
The one thing I would improve upon is the physics and collider placement. The cats colliders could have been a little smaller. And I found some random level colliders that weren't associated with sprites. Also, for movement, I find GetAxisRaw is better than GetAxis, bc it feels more responsive. And the player gravity multiplier could be higher to feel less floaty.
Overall, great work! Keep it up :)
thank you!
Nice Work
Nice atmosphere and sense of place!
The way assets are put together in each level is not really good. The platformer movement feels a little heavy. But good job.
Thanks for the critique!
Cat.
Hehe "Stray" in 2d :) Well done!
Nice game
Even if the cats are a bit laggy I like their shilouette and the graphics are well made. But everyone knows the storyline and worldbuilding from "stray". I know it can be a bit hard to not make similar games but I would´ve loved to see the game with more of your ideas.
Solid game, big fan of the meow button. Nice work!

Great game, could you please rate my game https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-8/rate/1680919 ?
Of course, thank you!
Art is cute, every good cat game needs a meow button. As a lot of people have said, it feels very Stray-inspired. Dialogue is fun to read. The jump did feel a little off at times but overall pretty fun!
The dialogue is definitely the strong point. I wrote the movement script quick and dirty so I couldn't agree more! Thank you!
It feels inspired by Stray, but it’s still really fun to play! Do you mind rating my game when you get the chance?
You bet!
Cute game! As the others said, it feels definitely inspired by Stray but I feel like it's okay.
It's a bit weird to slow down when you're jumping, though.
But hey, I wasn't expecting a Bon Jovi reference, I liked it! The robots were pretty funny too :)
Good work, keep it up!
Definitely inspired by Stray. The theme you are not alone fit pretty well with that game if you think about it. You're underground with a bunch of robots, who have personality, but only to an extent. I wanted that game to end a little differently, so this rendition is basically that!
Very Cool Game Concept, Really Like It ;P
Movement and physics is very clunk and I don't like how you can move during a robot's dialogue. However I really enjoyed the story, atmosphere, the dialogue of the robots and that there's a meow button.
Thanks for the critique. I agree the movement and physics were not the strong point. I made that script from scratch quick and dirty.
