The cinematic atmosphere was great. Hit the theme well.
More feedback on how good your sentence was at scaring people would be nice. I felt no matter what I did the bar just slowly moved up the same amount.
Audio was good too.

I'll try to leave useful feedback, but I will note before that this game is very polished, visually appealing and the core mechanic is very powerful and can allow for so many unique "a-ha!" moments when figuring out the catch to each level.
Game design itself was perfect. Bar these tiny nit-picks.
the 1x1 platforms were sometimes very high or awkwardly placed, maybe I'm not great at platformers but I felt a lot of the challenge I faced in this game was just landing on little platforms correctly which distracted me from the fun in-depth puzzles you had put the time into.
The flying enemies were a death sentence unless you send out an alter ego before they're on screen basically. I did find myself wishing for the ability to make them switch targets to my alter once they had already started chasing me.
I see how it fits the theme, but maybe room for slight improvement in that area.
Audio was great and art was awesome. Bonus points for making it yourself.
Overall it was actually hard for me to think of things to be critical about, you have done very well and I had lots of fun! Keen to see more from you in the future.
P.S Next time PLEASE build to web, you have a incredible amount of comments and ratings as it is, but I could have seen this blowing up if there was a web build. They just get so many more clicks.
For the purpose of leaving actionable feedback I wanna say a few things. The number pad at the start being linked to a seed and having an infinite loop unless an ending seed is put in, is actually very cool. However this needs be communicated to the player better because it wasn't till I read your comments that I realised this is what was going on. Making the keys more challenging to find and some other simple puzzle mechanics could also help beef up the actual gameplay.
Oh and maybe have hints to ending seeds in the non ending loops to aid that feeling of progress.
I didn't notice any sound either (unless I forgot to turn it up) but this could enhance the mood aswell.
I hope you continue making games, and continue with your story telling. I was actually kinda satisfied when I found the ending with my mother and that ending did fit the theme with the character becoming self aware that hey are in a video game and their world isn't real.
I really liked the maze that lit up as u explored it. A little more guidance from the game about what's going on and what your meant to be doing would be good. All in all very good considering the time frame, your friend is also a very talented artist!
Doing little cinematics for the endings also felt amazing, impressed at the polish for a game jam.
Drop your games and play/rate mine.
I'll return the favour.
