How does you game fit the theme?
In this city, people’s lives waver from feeling on top of the world to at the bottom of the gutter. It's your job to sell as many VR headsets to these people as possible to keep your business going, and hopefully, you can make a profit as well. This escape into the virtual world could be seen as a luxury item or as a way to live in a better false reality, but either way, you could probably make a buck off of it.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes. We created everything except the font from scratch with our programmer, composer, and pixel artist.

I love the music, the graphics, and the market simulation mechanics. it took A WHILE to figure out but once i figured it out it's really fun! so definitely try to improve the explanation. The server option IS really buggy and also has questionable ui hit targets. Basically singlehandedly ended my playthrough. I think overall you've found something worth working on and would be much better if you finish it and polish up the mechanics
Thanks for the encouragement and for checking it out! I was reminded of this game a lot when playing yours, good luck with your future development too!
I really like the music!
I love the music and the art style both very fitting for the game!
My main problem with the game was that it was just not really explained. Like I checked your main game page and saw what the stuff did but even still it was confusing. If you could add a full tutorial or something I think it would help a lot.
Next thing is the price slider. I do not really know what its supposed to add to the game because when I put it up to max everyone still bought it, there was no difference between 0-1000 other than the amount of money you made. This made it really easy to win. I'm not sure if this is on purpose or if it was supposed to do something else since there was no tutorial but its definitely unbalanced.
Other than that its good! Just needs a tutorial and some balancing!
Thanks for all the feedback! The tutorial and economy balancing are definitely 2 things the game needs, so I appreciate you taking the time to check the game out in depth. Glad you enjoyed the assets!
The artstyle is really cute! Loved it, and the music was also nice and calm... I like the idea of the game but it's very confusing... Like what to buy? Where do I spend my money on? There needs to be a proper tutorial for a game like this. It's good how the slider doesn't extend further when it reaches the money limit you have, that was a nice touch. However, it also feels like there needs to be some sort of speed up since you're not really doing anything in the day. The UI felt nice, the overall aesthetic was good. Nice game!
Thanks for checking it out, glad you enjoyed the assets. Appreciate the feedback as well!
damn man i really liked the visuals
the idea of the game is cool too
great job man
Appreciate you taking the time to play it! Glad you enjoyed the visuals.
Nice game, very interesting graphics choice :)
Thanks for playing, glad you found the graphics interesting!
Fits theme well and pretty innovative. Bonus points for making it all yourselves
Really appreciate you checking it out!
Very good graphics and audio, and it's a pretty fun game. Good work on this game.
Thanks for playing, appreciate the feedback!
Really cool graphics and groovy music. I could imagine this game having a ton of replayability with a little tweaking. It took me a second to understand pricing and I could never see a value next to "city happiness". I also had to read the instructions in the game's description to learn what I was doing and I would love for that info to be included in the game somewhere, but overall a really cool game!
Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed the assets too. I’m definitely interested in republishing the game with those bugs and fixes in mind after the jam ends. Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it!
Fun game, nice work -- I really liked the colors and artwork. I ran my business into the ground several times before getting a handle on my pricing strategy, and then things took off :). Nice!
Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it!
Nice
Thanks for playing!
I really appreciated the style and the music. it remembered me of Blade Runner!
Great job! The only thing is the clock bug.
Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed it, do you mind telling me what the clock bug you ran into was?
in the end of each day, the clock sometimes shows some random numbers after 20.
Super fun casual game! Love the concept
Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed it :)
The graphics and color looks great! Interesting game. Well done ^_^
Appreciate it, thanks for taking the time to play it!
I realy like the graphics of the game! And music! But its a bit weird in full screen mode, but hopefully you keep going!
Thanks for checking it out!
The look of the UI is really great. It was tough to figure out exactly what to do, but I got it eventually
Glad you liked the UI, thanks for playing!
This was certainly an interesting game! The concept kind of reminded me of the Lemonade Stand game on the cool math games website that I would play when I was younger
Thanks for checking the game out! It was directly inspired by Lemonade Stand and Coffee Shop on cool math games.
The color scheme, artwork and music really fit well together - it's a great looking game. It took a second to understand how to play at the beginning but it made sense pretty quick. Nice work!
Glad you enjoyed, thanks for checking it out!
Wow, the art is amazing, I really loved it! I didn't know what to do in the game at the start but then it was quite fun! Great job!
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for checking it out. Definitely could use a tutorial too, we appreciate the feedback!
