Really nice in every way. Fun, challenging, and nice art. I love how the soldiers walk. I thought the muzzle flash was a nice detail that had a lot of impact. I liked how the soldiers would dynamically get closer to the robots to keep the front line as far from their base as possible. (Note that when I started, when I had soldiers touching my base, my base health went down. No robots were touching it.) Really nice job especially for 3 hours, good work.
Wow, this is very unique. I adore the music and the visual style. I really like how solving a constellation kind of illustrates the space around it. I also love that you can see a fish approaching by its ripples, and all the stories in the journal. Beautiful and unique. The constellations are very hard. If you would continue development on this, it might be nice to have a gizmo so you can have more control over how you rotate. I'd also love if you could cast in more specific locations or have an indication (maybe faint shape or size) to see what fish is in each ripple. Very cool game.
I also got the bug where, when you buy a triple hook, it sets your inventory back. The second time I did it, I did it with 0 hooks in my inventory, and when I went back to the fishing hole, pressing space didn't let me fish.
It's a good concept, I LOVE your fish designs, especially the lolligo frixum and great crawler. The game loop is good and I like all the extras. The main character has a cool design and I like how he walks n_n
Fun. I felt a little bad killing the fish, but I think the cheerful music and bomb-dropping sfx helped ease the tension lol. I really liked how the upgrades were visible. It had a retrofuture kind of vibe to it. I couldn't figure out how to fire the missiles -- is there a specific key for it? Good job.
The fish being caught made me lol. They're really cute, too, especially the dogfish. My fav part was definitely launching myself off of the icebergs in level 2, that was a blast. I ended up launching myself in the air in level 3 and spawning outside the map, but I just ended up circling it for a while catching fish and drifting around corners. Good job - funny and fun!
Nice game. I like the controls! It is a little challenging at first, but in a good way. It's satisfying to learn how to move your character and raft how you want to. I really loved the graphics being so bright. A small detail that really worked is how you put the score on the back of your boat so you didn't have to glance away from the action. I was surprised when it ended at 20! If you revisit this, I think it would be nice to have an endless mode, I think it would suit it.
First to anyone else playing getting an error when trying to run the .exe about a missing package: download the .pck file and add it to the same folder as the .exe and then run the .exe. If everything is too small, try to switch windows to a lower resolution temporarily (settings->display->display resolution)
This is a very pretty game. The colors are really lovely. I love the pattern of the water and the pencil outline of the fish. I like the texture of the player character especially. Edit: Forgot to mention that I love that the UI is themed! It really ties it together.
The small blue text that pops up when you get close to the fish is still a little hard to read. It's small and I think it would benefit from a background color so it doesn't blend into the water. I also didn't realize that you were supposed to use 'F' to interact, especially because it's written on your page to use click which I wasn't able to make work.
I also did not understand what to do after talking to the big ray (who is adorable). The button did not do anything, and dragging the white dot did not seem to do anything either.
I also encountered a bug when, after making friends with a fish, if I tried to go to my pond, it would say that 1. I had gathered 0 fish and 2. would crash if I attempted to enter it. Entering it before talking to a fish worked fine, though! I love the idea of a secret underwater grotto type pond. Really captures the imagination!
I loved that the fish had personalities. I think my favorite had to be 'reserved' which made me chuckle at the image of a reserved fish n_n
Fun game. I really liked your character and fish designs. The whale was my favorite, both because of his design and swimming pattern. I ended up losing from not wrapping up my fish fast enough. (Actually, I'm not sure if I'm missing something, does the price you set per fish make them more likely to be bought?)
Surprisingly challenging in a fun way. I do wish there were a few more light / water pieces, as despite trying my best I never got past around having 100 cm left. I especially liked having to get close to, but not grab, the light pieces. I enjoyed seeing the end result of all the sprouts / the different paths I took, made me think of seeing the same in real plants and thinking of their own spring journeys. Very nice game
