Ah shit, the art is not actually mine but from Itch.io creators. I forgot to credit them! I will do that asap, sorry about that.
Anyways thanks for trying it out and yes individual bar control and theme colors are definitely coming!
Thanks for trying it out and your feedack!
1. I've added a description for the themes, but you're totally right. Need some kind of indication as to what they are. I'll see how I can improve it.
2. I've considered this, and it won't be too hard. Will definitely think how I can include this in an intuitive way.
3. Thanks for this. I overlooked it but I've realized now that this could one of the biggest QOL improvements to the tool for now. Will work on it next!
thank you so much for trying the tool and such great feedback!
1. Hmm could you share more as in what didn’t work? As in, when you caps lock (using backspace) it didn’t actually “caps locked”?
2. Oh. Will look into that.
3. Agreed. Will have to fix that.
4. True, need to improve that as well.
5. That is intentional. As you rightly pointed out, Unity UI is very finicky sometimes, so for the sake of keeping sanity I just kept the tabs to the fields. But can revisit it.
Thanks so much again!
Though the concept is similar with the other game of switching between cars this game does benefit from a better implementation of camera. But I found myself asking while playing, "why should I switch" because in the other game I had to ("because of bombs"). Took a little fun out of it.
Otherwise I loved the retro music and announcements at the beginning of the car race. The 3 tracks are well designed, although I found myself drifting off quite a bit on the second one.
Also would have liked an option to choose levels and a fullscreen toggle.
Good job anyways!
I love car games and I loved the mechanic on this one.
Along with the whole switching the cars before the time runs out. Real adrenaline rush.
Also the UI was clean but a little unclear, as I had to keep my mouse over 'Levels' and then drag it right to select one.
Lastly, like others, the camera could've been implemented better but I liked the rotation which happens whenever you're turning.
Driving the boat feels so satisfying! The world, when switches over, the implementation of a different music, color scheme and the camera shake when you hit the red ball was very well done!
Few suggestions:
1. Driving the boat without any water splashing, moving left right because of currents, sometimes doesn't give the feel that we're on water.
2. Instead of a written "How to Play" it'd be amazing if the tutorial was built in, because I struggled for a good 30s as to how to hit even after reading.
I had a fun time.
Good Luck!
