Hi! I'm sorry you had bad experience with the first level. Try to pull a barrel out of the room (you need to step on a barrel first to repair it) and place it where is a shadow of a barrel

Apologies for my previous post. I was drunk when I wrote it...

That's what Olaf would say if he was a developer — and thankfully he's not! Instead, he’s the hero of a new sokoban-style puzzler Olaf the Boozer coming soon to Steam.

Olaf the Boozer is basically fantasy The Hangover as a sokoban game. You investigate the consequences of your epic pub crawl, fixing what can be fixed and making amends along the way. There’s a bit of mystery, one very angry chicken, and a nice time-bending twist on classic gameplay that keeps Olaf fresh.

A new announcement trailer is now on tap. And there’s a demo on Itch if you’d like a closer look: https://vmikhav.itch.io/olaf-the-boozer-demo

could you add more details about music audio lag?

Very nice art! And I probably will need a help of your sound designer for dialogs😅

would it be less frustrating for you with ability to cancel last step?

Hi! Thank you for feedback! I added a note to the game's description

Navigation - arrow buttons (also you can turn on on-screen buttons is settings)

Hint: Olaf will pull barrel or crate if he's standing on empty tile. To stop pulling you need to change direction. Red silhouette of a barrel/crate marks a place where object of that type should be placed.

Fun concept!

Thank you! At first I designed that puzzle from cellar for the first level in tavern, but with chairs. Then I decided that using chairs for that might be even more confusing, so I left only barrels and boxes, and put one barrel into kitchen as a tutorial.

Great music and art!

Seems like I didn't receive your request. Try again or drop your discord nickname here

Hi! I'm working on the hangover sokoban game https://vmikhav.itch.io/olaf-the-boozer-demo. There is no much to translate yet, but I'll add a detective story . Let me know if you would like to work on such  project. Discord: vmikhav

Hi! I'm looking for a detective writer for my hangover sokoban game https://vmikhav.itch.io/olaf-the-boozer-demo (I expect storyline to be a mix of the "Hangover"
movie and "Guards! Guards!"). Also I'd love to make this game more available for japanese players. Let me know if you are interested in such type of projects. Discord: vmikhav

Hi! I'm working on the hangover sokoban game https://vmikhav.itch.io/olaf-the-boozer-demo . Let me know if you feel confident in making sokoban puzzles. Discord: vmikhav

No, not really, it's more like an example of the storytelling. Main question here is how confident are you about writing a detective story.

Hi, thanks for your feedback! Actually I ahd a plan to visualize adventurers running by town and also let Greg to get some materials by himself, but I realized that the asset pack doesn't contain enough content to make character don't look like clones and I was out of time to make any better mechanic, so I did my best. I'll think how can I extend thus game and if I even should. In some sense I think this game is good as is - a short one with highly concentrated humor and references. Maybe I'll come up with some another idea, like to convert it to an amusement park for adventurers, where NPCs are actually employees or just people who live nearby and main target can be reach the best balance of enjoyment and profit.

Reminded me this game https://teambeanloop.itch.io/six-cats-under

Ability to restart the level would be pretty useful.

When I was following tutorial and and the journal, settings menu opened and was reopening every time I close it.

I went sideback to central area, got gun, returned to the tutorial tunnel and fell through floor near the first group of columns.

I liked this game, but I'd like to adjust the difficulty curve. At several first tiles, a player might need 2 balls to reach the golfpost, and he will lose if the first ball fall. Probably it makes sense to provide the first additional ball earlier.

At first camera was jumping in x axis (like forcing me to look in one direction) and then I got this (in ground tutorial near orange columns)

Sounds make it realy juicy!

It would be nice to align duck deploy position to the ducks' grid instead of the field grid, because sometimes line is not recognized.

Thanks! Blocking doors are the key part of room puzzles.
Sadly Godot 4 beta has no option to export without SharedArrayBuffer but in Firefox this feature has to be enabled manually.

Thank you! I was in rush doing it from last Sunday so I had no time to design better levels.

for Russian and Ukrainian

Do you have a plan to extend it for MS 1251? That would be perfect!

Thank you!

did you try to open game in private window?

Thank you!

Thank you! Yes, now company growing isn't as well as can be. May you suggest any idea?
