Really great looks. I find the idea really interesting
Got stuck however once my choices were wrong and couldn't go back

At first I thought it would be way too simple with the exact predictive line of the ball. But right away I got got by the tile laying aspect that I didn't expect ! It made it much more challenging and fun.
A couple of critisisms:
- The music is too repetitive (I saw other people mention this also, so I guess you already know ;P)
- There is not a lot of explanation in the game. This does not matter too much because sessions are short and you learn as you play, but it was totally not clear to me that I got a specific ball that I had to select when I got an upgrade. I just thought all my balls could no longer fly off the map and was unpleasantly surprised when the first ball flew off.
- Very early I got a piece that I never could have reached ( U shaped). It might be that you should plan for such a tile but it felt kinda bad getting it and knowing right away your run was over.
Critisism aside, I love the entry ! Well done!
Whyyyy is this so addictive? I struggled, really struggled at first. The key to success: the power-up that shows the predicted bounces. After that I got to #4 on the leaderboard! Woo. I probably could have gotten higher, but misclicked a piece and put it in an impossible spot (needed one of the floating balls to get to it). Simple aesthetic and awesome gameplay loop. I can definitely see something like this blowing up on mobile.
Two notes: First, the music. I played for awhile, so maybe it just became exhausting to me, but the loop was too short and too repetitive. Definitely the right style of music, nailed that, but maybe a more fleshed out version? I don't know. Second, the challenge. I don't know if there is a way to curb the difficulty as you progress, but it felt higher stakes at the beginning. Maybe it's an asteroid (bad example) that comes in every couple levels that takes out a chunk of the map requiring you to rebuild the easy paths you have built yourself. Or a strong wind (another bad example) that rotates pieces to face a different way. Just a random thought. Feel free to ignore it!
Either way, great entry to the game jam and great game!
My personal best score was 16! I think it's quite a challenge at the beginning, and based on the different types of golf balls you get, the different choices you get make the game easier, which is odd in terms of progression. But it is a very relaxing and polished game! The beginning is especially fun to me since it is very focused and important to make the two or three shots really count. Great work!
I really loved this game.
The only problem imo is that the bounce predict line overlaps, and causes seams, and looks ugly. Maybe you could render it on a different camera at full opacity and then make it transparent on the main camera or something?
Very good game, I like it a lot! The only thing I will try to change is the music, maybe adapting to the level or have a loop that changes while you are playing, like this is a little annoying
Veryyy cooool!! I stopped as at this point i was invincible, but the concept felt very very solid and well polished :D Congrats!
Such a great game. You made the look simple and pretty - colors, lines. It was easy to understand what the game was and how the balls and the obstacles worked. I got myself to hole 45. My only complaint as I obsessively sought mastery was the 2 measure riff that I had endured for... man an hour? I approve!
Definitely a unique combination of golf and roguelike elements! I really enjoyed this game, but I did find it quite difficult. More than one of the rounds I played, I ended up getting pieces that either closed off some of the only options I had, or made it craaaaazy difficult. I maxed out at 16 holes.
Pros: The minimalist art is very readable and inviting. The gameplay is unique and interesting. The concept _definitely_ can be built into a full game. I see this being especially good as a mobile game, if you ever wanted to take it that direction.
Cons: Music got fairly repetitive after playing for a bit. It fits well, I just wish the loop was longer. As mentioned above, sometimes the pieces force you into losses (I suppose roguelikes are notorious for their difficulty). I wish the special balls / club perks told you what they were when you mouse-over. I forgot what some of them were and had no way to know without just using them.
But overall, this was a really cool entry with a well-executed and original idea.
This is a really awesome concept. I liked that the strength indicator more or less showed exactly where the ball would land. The simple minimalist design is perfect for this type of game. Overall great submission.
Great concept! This combination of different mechanics (8 ball pool style golf, and user based random map generation) was really refreshing. Genius Idea. Great work!
I think this is the most fun game I have played from this jam so far! I played quite a few times and on my last run I got to hole 60 before deciding to stop. Really creative game mechanics that were executed well! Awesome job!
