Very creative. Would be nice if the timer gives you more time at the beginning and gets shorter as the game progresses. And maybe rather than having a timer – have the cauldron shake and spit out when you run out of time. Cool game.
Perfect for this jam! Timer could be longer as others have said, but the splash art is nice and the environment and models work really well! The game would really benefit from some juice - some particle effects when the ingredients run around, perhaps some screen shake, a glowing outline over what it is you're hovering over, some more sounds, etc. But excellent work for the mini-jam!
Very fun Where's Waldo-esque game. Sometimes the correct ingredient doesn't appear, and the timer feels short, you also don't know how much for you to lose a life. The UI also feels weird.
Other than that, the gameplay is addicting, the visuals are nice, and the audio is ok. Nice job!
It's a cool idea, but the timer feels too short right now, and the food going behind the cauldron so it's impossible to see sometimes makes it harder than it should be. I feel the timer should probably start longer and get shorter overtime.
Super cute and intuitive, but very hard!
Thank you! :D Yes, I had planned to increase the difficulty over time or make it adjustable, but I didn't get around to it.
It's a very cute and interesting gameplay, which might make certain UI elements stand out more. Sometimes, I even fail because I didn't notice the time at the top of the screen.
Thank you! Making the UI more present is a good tip. Unfortunately, I didn't get around to visualizing the timer. :s
Really funny idea i enjoyed the game. But sometimes it looks like an item that i need is invisible or doesn't exist but maube i am not attentive!
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. :3 The ingredients are hard to recognize from some angles, that's probably the problem :/
This really works well! I thought the timer was a little tight but I guess that's the point!
Thank you! Making the difficulty adjustable would definitely be important. But I also wanted to challenge you a bit! xD
Really really fun!! Occasionally hard to grab stuff from behind your big old wizard hat. Controls work perfectly otherwise and gameplay is very intuitive bc this is exactly how I cook IRL so well done on capturing that
Thank you so much! :D Unfortunately, I chose the layout for the room badly. In the future I would probably put the wizard at the back.. because the huge hat is definitely necessary! xD
The game was so insanely intuitive that I understood exactly what to do after 3 seconds. This shid was made for my tiny pea brain. Love it.
Thank you! My brain is tiny too... that's why more development and game design wasn't feasible. :D
The models are unreadable in some places (╥﹏╥)
I noticed that too. Unfortunately, I'm not able to model, so I had to rely on what was lying around in my assets. But I probably should have been more mindful of choosing ingredients that are easier to recognize. :s But thank you for playing and the feedback :D
fun game, great use of the limitation ! keep going !
Thank you so much! :D
Love the hand drawn art! Gameplay is fun and challenging. Wish it had a bit more post processing and custom lighting to make it a bit more moody and make it feel less raw. But other than that loved it!
Thank you very much! I think that reveals that I'm actually more of a 2d artist than anything else xD My programming and engine skills are a bit rusty, but I'll get more into lighting and post processing for my next projects. :D
Very nice game! Very simple to understand and very cute ^^
Thank you very much for playing and the kind words! :3
Cute lil' game, managed to reach a score of 350
Its hard to get the ingredients where they all hide behind the witch XD
That's a great score! Thank you! The big hat is really a problem. xD
Cute little game - I like it)
Controls work perfectly, there was never a situation that I clicked something that I don't want. Considering how much there are objects - it's a nice thing.
I would adjust the shadows a bit since the look a bit weird and add some nice UI and it would be a perfect entry 💛
My programming skills are a bit rusty at the moment and it takes me far too long to implement the actual game. But hopefully I'll get faster in the future and can concentrate more on post processing and UI. Thanks for playing and the feedback! :3
Nice game! Clear and simple, maybe some twist with a potion recipe can add deep to the gameplay.
Thank you! That sounds like a great idea! :D
Love the idea. It looks pretty polished <3
Thank you! :3
Cool concept, I really enjoyed this game! Sometimes it was tricky to pick up ingredients behind the player but that’s my only nitpick. Well done!
Thank you very much! Why does the wizard need such a huge hat anyway? xD
