Really nice lightning effects! I love the adorable character you get to run around with!

I noticed the lightning didn’t always kill me when it hit—was that intentional? Also, is the time between lightning strikes random? After a while, it felt like the strikes were happening at the same intervals, so I could predict when they were coming.

I really enjoyed the farming part! It was kind of funny to see my crops get flooded, but I still had to water them.

I really enjoyed the game! It took me a little while to figure out how everything worked, but once I got the hang of it, it was really fun to play! It fits the theme perfectly. The combination of tower defense and resource gathering is unique and well done. I also love the visuals! Great job!

Damn, I looooooove the style of this game so muchhh! I wish it were longer so I could keep playing! It really fits the kind of games I enjoy!

At first, I thought it didn’t need any music because of the existing sound effects, but after reading the comments suggesting jazz or piano music in the background, I agree that it would fit perfectly with the aesthetic of your game. I’d love to see that added in the future! It would make your game even better!

The style feels so original and unique to me! Did you base it on an existing game or get inspiration from something else?

I love everything about this game! It's so cute and relatable! The character design is great, and the combination of photos with painted elements is really well done! I would love to play this as a full game!

The only feedback I have is that the walking animation doesn’t seem like a smooth cycle. I can see when the loop ends and starts again. If you were aiming for a snappier animation, then well done, and feel free to disregard my comment! But if that wasn’t the goal, maybe you could adjust the first and last frames to make the transition smoother?

But I loved this! Very impressive!

I love the idea behind your game and the art you used! The music is fantastic too! I’d love to see you update the game in the future.

I noticed you used different layers in the background to create depth, which is a great idea. However, there seemed to be something off with the effect. It looked like the trees closest to the player were moving oddly, almost faster than the player. Maybe it's just me, but it felt a bit strange. Maybe try playing around with the speeds some more if you have time?

Cute, nice, and chill game that fits the theme perfectly! The movement mechanic has an original twist, though I struggled a bit with it—especially the jumping and landing—but that might just be my platforming skills :)

One piece of feedback: the platforms (or the world the game takes place in) felt a bit empty. It would be great to add more cute props, like the plants or grass you used on the start screen, to make it feel more lively.

I also feel like the storm could use a third stage. Right now, you have sunny weather and rain. Adding a stage with thunder sounds, heavier rain, and a darker sky or lighting would help the player better anticipate when the end is near. Currently, the weather changes, but it stays the same until the game-over text appears, so it's hard to tell when the storm is about to arrive. Just a suggestion for future updates! I'd love to hear what you think!

Stunning music and visuals! It's especially impressive that you made everything yourselves. I really love how the mood and its changes are conveyed through the visuals, music, and gameplay. Well done!

I love the mood you created and the pixel shader you used! The tasks alone would have made for a good game, but I especially love that you added the angry ghosts that chase after the player—such a nice extra touch!

I really appreciate that you included a tutorial for the game; it was definitely needed.

However, I have one small comment about the dialogue: when the text fills the textbox completely, it disappears rather quickly to make way for new text. My reading speed, for example, is quite slow due to my dyslexia, so I missed some dialogue. I would suggest that, when the textbox is full, the player should need to press a key to continue the dialogue.
But I really loved your game!

It’s a cute, small game, but I agree with the other comments that it’s quite difficult to play—or maybe I just lack some serious platformer skills, which is also a possibility, hahaha.

I like the concept of the game, and after a few attempts, the first level becomes quite achievable. However, I couldn't finish the second level due to a lack of time.

Another difficulty I encountered is that the highest platform is always very hard to reach because of the collision with the ceiling.

In the first level, which has peaceful, clear weather, the shells aren’t very visible. In contrast, the second level is darker, which improves visibility.

Really nice game with clear instructions and distinct sounds to indicate when you're doing well or not. The only thing I miss is an indication of when I die or when the game is over and my score resets.

I really love the gameplay you designed and the models you used! The game has great replayability with the research tree and the different difficulty levels, especially for a game jam game!

The only thing I didn't find clear in the first round I played, was that the defense buildings were unlocked from the beginning, and you didn’t have to unlock them with cards like the other buildings. Because of this, I didn’t check the defense tab at the start and ended up playing for a long time without a shield in my first round. It was my own mistake, I know! I initially thought it was a small inconsistency, but if you considered this and have a specific reason for providing the defense buildings from the start, then never mind my comment!

But still, I loveeeee your game!
