How does your game fit the theme?
Lighthouse Keeper embodies the theme by starting with a tense, quiet period where the player, as a lone lighthouse keeper, prepares for an approaching storm by performing routine tasks. This initial calm slowly builds tension as the environment worsens, transitioning from peaceful isolation to the chaos of violent winds and vengeful spirits rising from the sea. The storm serves not only as a physical threat but also as a metaphor for the unraveling of hidden dangers and mysteries, creating a stark contrast between the calm preparation and the supernatural chaos that follows.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, I wrote the code and Liam made the assets and music within the week.

This is really cool and I really like the art style. It can get a bit repetitive but that's the way it goes in game jams lol. Nice job!

You know what. I actually liked it. Just a bit too repetitive after a while

Hope that you'll also play mine :) https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-12/rate/2973690

Not bad, graphics remind me of old source games, follows the theme well but gameplay gets old very fast. It is fine for what it is though

Wow, absolutely stunning presentation. It's really impressive that you managed to also make a tutorial as well.

Honestly top tier all around. My biggest problem was sometimes the player would stutter step when I clicked multiple times (which is just how I'm used to play isometric games, like Diablo 2 etc.)

I'd love to  see this kind of game expanded much more :)

Amazing game, great art style, super smooth movement and camera control.

Easy and challanging at the same time.

Only thing I'd say could use a change is the`E` prompt when standing in an interaction zone, it also gets blurred with the filter, disabling that would be my only comment.

Well done!

Great atmosphere, I loved the pixel-style filter and the eerie vibe of the game. The gameplay is straightforward, but the addition of the spirits adds a nice twist to keep things interesting. A bit repetitive at times, but overall, well executed. Great job!

Great atmosphere. Looks good and simple to understand. A bit repetitive, but the spirit are a god addition to spice it up.
Well done.

Nice game, I would have imagine that repairing the lens of the lighthouse will provide with some safe zone from the ghost, something you might want to think of.

Just rated the game would love if you could rate mine too :)

Task got repetitive very fast but I tension progression is nice, what feels like calm boring-ish game at the start quickly becames overhelmingly fast paced run-or-die :)

Really interesting camera system!

I love the mood you created and the pixel shader you used! The tasks alone would have made for a good game, but I especially love that you added the angry ghosts that chase after the player—such a nice extra touch!

I really appreciate that you included a tutorial for the game; it was definitely needed.

However, I have one small comment about the dialogue: when the text fills the textbox completely, it disappears rather quickly to make way for new text. My reading speed, for example, is quite slow due to my dyslexia, so I missed some dialogue. I would suggest that, when the textbox is full, the player should need to press a key to continue the dialogue.
But I really loved your game!

The slow approach of the ghosts was really nice. Also liked the camera control and rotating around the island. All made for a really great feeling game - Nice work!

I really loved the atmosphere and the graphics, the hectic gameplay was fun, awesome game!

Excellent camera effects!. Well done tutorial. Maybe make it easier to finde the boat? also mention you can rotate the camera, since it feels like the old "Alone in the dark" kind of camera, is not intuitive to be able to rotate it.

Great atmosphere and camera controller! The gameplay itself is a bit hectic a not that enjoyable (maybe just not my type of game); your strong side, IMHO, is the atmosphere, which is top-notch! Has that Lovecraftian feel to it!

Loved the graphics!

Decent game with good graphics, but I thought the game loop was a bit repetitive. Essentially doing chores :)

Great atmosphere with the pixel-style filter. The lighting is excellent! The game design effectively showcases the Lightkeeper's work and solitude. I can't believe this was all done in a week. Nice work!
