sorry about that. Due to the earlier idea of controls, the character and controls was two different objects but only the character was affected by the area. Which leads to quite the rubberband effect once you manage to get it free. But the idea was that it would be a marionette in the beginning and we decided to remove the graphics late in the process
This is a game I'd love to show my niece. Beautiful art combined with a nice, dreamy story. Well done! To some feedback: The pictures could've revealed a little faster and sometimes didn't appear which made me unsure if I missed a task to click something or perhaps just had to wait a certain amount of time. Adding some sort of feedback or something that allows the player to understand when the next image will appear. Other than that I think it's a beautiful story you're telling through words and art. Great job!
A crawling brain with crab claws and 2 scorpion stingers can be nothing else but horrifying! Especially if it can shoot icky stuff. Only complaint is that I got lost and confused at time. Especially when it came to breaking that door. Traveled back and forth until I shot it cause I got frustrated. xD
Well done!
Issues has been stated regarding checkpoints that I'd like to agree with. Either that or increasing the pace and make traps and enemy movements follow a more consistent pattern. Perhaps both would be a good idea. Other than that I think you done a good job, especially for a week and this being your second game.
Game finally done! This was my first jam and it was interesting to see what I could come up with in one week.
This has been a great experience and I've learned a lot from doing this. Already looking forward to the next jam!
Now I'm going to sit back, relax and check in other peoples' submissions.
Here's the game for those that would like to try it.
