I believe it's correct but i would suggest using a circlecollider instead of box coll. If that's bot what youre already doin ofc ^^

sorry about that. Due to the earlier idea of controls, the character and controls was two different objects but only the character was affected by the area. Which leads to quite the rubberband effect once you manage to get it free. But the idea was that it would be a marionette in the beginning and we decided to remove the graphics late in the process

This definitely fits the theme and the visuals and sound was on point.

However I'd say it was way more difficult than it needed to be due to the large hitbox around the player. Taking just the slightest of shortcuts lead to your death. Great job!

I was a bit confused to why I couldn't shoot until I read how you implemented this 10 seconds.  Would've appreciated to have some sort of countdown for it so you know what's going on.

That was a trip :D Good job!
Nice movement and quite a creative little piece you got there.

It's not late per say. Managed to build the browser version but once I built the Windows build errors appeared.
A game like the one we've made suffers a great deal from being played on Web on sections I deem the game's strength.

Would love to upload a Windows build of the game if possible.

Looking good! Got a good ol classic retro feel it.

Me and me brotha went for a weird 3D styled game.
Lots of design choices left to make and plenty of mechanics to figure out.

Thank you for your kind words and feedback

Thank you for your kind words. :)

Thank you! I'm glad that you enjoyed it as it was a lot of fun to create

Thank you very much.

Thank you :)

Thank you very much for your kind words and feedback. I agree with you. The camera should've been more zoomed in and there wasn't really a reason for it being so zoomed out.

Thank you very much and thanks for the feedback! I agree with you. Was an oversight that I regretfully missed.

Thank you

This is a game I'd love to show my niece. Beautiful art combined with a nice, dreamy story. Well done! To some feedback: The pictures could've revealed a little faster and sometimes didn't appear which made me unsure if I missed a  task to click something or perhaps just had to wait a certain amount of time. Adding some sort of feedback or something that allows the player to understand when the next image will appear. Other than that I think it's a beautiful story you're telling through words and art. Great job!

Thank you and glad that you liked it! Thank you for your feedback and I absolutely agree.

A crawling brain with crab claws and 2 scorpion stingers can be nothing else but horrifying! Especially if it can shoot icky stuff. Only complaint is that I got lost and confused at time. Especially when it came to breaking that door. Traveled back and forth until I shot it cause I got frustrated. xD

Well done!

This game allowed to make some crazy spins in the air. I thoroughly enjoyed it! Accidentally pressed R after an ant fell into the water which made me sad a couple of times as I had gotten close to the goal. It really fit into the theme as well.

Great job!

Issues has been stated regarding checkpoints that I'd like to agree with. Either that or increasing the pace and make traps and enemy movements follow a more consistent pattern.  Perhaps both would be a good idea. Other than that I think you done a good job, especially for a week and this being your second game.

Taking "Stronger Together" literally! :D

Was a little confused in the beginning but then I got invested once my slow brain figured it out.

My only issue would be the song that felt a bit all over the place. But other than that, I believe you've definitely create a solid game! Great job!

You've done a great job with the graphics and the animation of the main characters. As someone stated earlier, the camera was pretty sensitive and wonky, especially when getting close to walls.

Good job! :)

Wonderful pixel graphic combined with the interesting way of controlling your units. The song and SFX was on point as well. Well done!

A quick and neat game. Sometimes those peasant where getting stuck and was standing in front of me. This made me a little sad. Still, Good job!

My brain went ape##%¤ when the tomatos started to attack! Haha best game

Interesting concept but the pacing was a bit slow :)

PB, 190 sek

Interesting concept!

Rate my game and I'll rate yours!

You need to pick up grandpa using the "F" button. Then you can jump over the hole together :)

Was it the frog who made the instructions? My birds just died! Nice and harmonious game

This game was amazing in so many ways!

Sure!

Here's my submission: Grandpa and Me :)

https://zlaktarn.itch.io/grandpa-and-me

I'd be happy if it was design and fun but I think it will be theme.  Doubt it'll be graphic even though I think it has its charm

Thanks! :D

Game finally done! This was my first jam and it was interesting to see what I could come up with in one week.

This has been a great experience and I've learned a lot from doing this. Already looking forward to the next jam!
Now I'm going to sit back, relax and check in other peoples' submissions.

Here's the game for those that would like to try it.
Grandpa and Me by Zlaktarn (itch.io)

You've accidentally created a method called void start() instead of void Start() with capital S.

Either that or you don't have a Rigidbody2D on your object connected with the script.

Hope that solves it
