I have to say I played the web version of this ... although I was pretty excited about the water physics simulation, it feels really heavy on my computer and I do occasionally play some heavy games on it on max settings, so maybe the webversion is doing some unnecessary heavy lifting there .. that being sad I like the main char, reminds of me the creature you play with on animal well ... the mechanics is pretty creative as well, oh but the droplet sound effect when its full is kinda too intense btw

Thanks for feedback! I wanted something cute and simple for the character (who is some form of water spirit) and that's what I came out with. I only realized how similar it was to the Animal Well after finishing it! And yea, the optimisation is poor unfortunately, it mostly relies on Unity's in built 2D physics

This game is really cool. It's a lot of fun to throw the water around. Some of the levels are pretty challenging too with how much water you need to get in the bucket before it drains out, but I managed to beat all of them! Awesome job on this it's really cool!

Cheers! Aye balancing the difficulty was definitely something that i should've set aside more time for

I like the visuals, and the gameplay has a lot of promise, but it seems like performance is an issue. I don't know if that's just in the webgl version, but it was noticeable if I ever tried to move with even a medium number of droplets. Additionally, the droplet sound gets very loud if you move with a lot of droplets on you. Aside from those minor gripes though, it was a lot of fun, great work :)

Cheers! Yep optimization is definately an issue. I relied on Unity's in-built physics, and didn't really script anything to help manage the number of interactions happening on screen. The executable doesn't run much better surprisingly! Situations like this are probably why I should learn DOTS! Audio was a last minute thought and would've got more attention had I managed time better

Link to web-gl version. It's exactly the same as this version, linking for convenience https://lumpy-lumps.itch.io/drippy-webgl

The concept is pretty cool but man this game is hard. Game mechanics aren't quite obvious even if you read the instructions from the itch page.

Developer

Cheers! Had I managed my time better, I'd have included  tutorial elements and clearer indications of game mechanics, and of course balanced the difficulty more.
