It felt very smooth and satisfying to play, the hoomans gave me a few scares with their mean rocks but ultimately no one can survive a wendigo. I would say the upbeat music was a bit funny/out of place in my opinion and it could have been fun to play into the weight and the size of the wendigo more (I would have moved the camera up, made his footsteps lower pitch, maybe some camera shake could have been fun) but, all in all, fun !
Really neat fighting and strafing mechanics. The theme of this is on point as well. Good work!
Awesome game! It's always cool to see a hack and slash game in a game jam, as I feel it is a genre often neglected.
the gameplay felt pretty smooth, although I would suggest adding outlines to the hearts to make it so you can see them better. All in all really fun!
I loved the gameplay and playing as the hunter for once. Good job making a 3d game being 1-bit.
Great visuals!
Action is clear despite the color restrictions
When the first group of four appeared (2 axemen, 2 throwers), one of the axemen apparently went through the wall and into the rock (could see him since I was close and the wall disappeared), but I was able to take him down anyway
This is very nice. It's impressive that a 3d game can retain this much visual clarity while still adhering to the 2 color restriction. The gameplay is fun and has a bit of depth to it. Only thing i could really point to as a flaw is that there isn't much feedback when you get hit. But otherwise this is great.
Cool visual style, and a simple premise that finishes before it gets old. Nce!
I really like this shader style and trying to do it in my Godot game (but I just suck and failed xD)
The Game is easy enough to finish on the first try. Overall very good! 😎👍
Hey, I have some feedback.
- I'd make the mouse sensitivity a lot lower, it's currently crazy high on my end at least.
- The music makes me think of a jungle, not anything winter-y.
- The text seems to be just ever so slightly a different color than the actual world's white, meaning I can make out the difference. I don't know if it's counted as it being 3 colors but just something to keep in mind.
In any case, very cool especially for a learning project. The art style works very well, and is very good looking, that's why I clicked on your game in the first place.
Thank you for the feedback! I lowered the sensitivity a lot - I made the game on a crappy laptop with a horrible mouse so it make a lot of sense that the sensitivity I used was really high for other devices, I also fixed the issue with the text color.
When making the music we focused on provoking a primal feeling, like through the perspective of the monster. I can definitely understand how it sounds like a jungle.
Super valuable feedback, thank you for taking the time to comment.
Yeah I understand. Glad I could help.
