The theme was adorable. The balance was pretty punishing (which is fine), but for a Binding of Isaac style game, I expected more item drops. I found that some runs I got 3 items on the first level and some I got 1, but it felt like it was a bit all over.

Enjoyed it quite a bit.

Thank you so much for your feedback! Yes, because of time, we decide to put more time on player control experience and Roguelikeness instead of balancing. For items, is also the same case, we decide to make a complete(and less bug) game loop with current items. It's our minimum requirement.

Loved this game!

It's fun to play and has a lot of humor, has great responsivness, it's tough in terms of difficulty, but easy to understand and control. I have nothing to add in terms of fixes -> Great job!

Love the art and the music and the idea of making titan souls main mechanic as a roguelike mechanic :) great job :)

Great game, especially the art and music, but I think the difficulty can be more reasonable, too boring in the start

Thank you for taking the time to play!

Really cool game, love the art and the concept. You really have to plan you moves so that you are able to recover the trident safely. Really tough but fun. Nice work!

Pros:

  • Very nice art style and general aesthetic. The mood lighting was a nice touch
  • Good variety of perks for the spear and enemies.
  • The spear mechanic in general was satisfying. I particularly liked the right click return mechanic, added lots of possibilities for cool skill shots.
  • Well thought out controls. Knew how to open the map by instinct having played dungeon crawler like games before.

Improvements:

  • The players hitbox is a bit unforgiving (Felt like I was getting hit by enemies that were not visually colliding with me.
  • Perhaps up the contrast a bit between the background and player/items. I found they blended together quite a bit. I also initially mistook the darker edges of each room for impassable terrain.

Bugs (Note: I played WebGL Version):

  • Encountered a bug where I couldn't save my highscore :( (Might have been because I typed in the same 4 letters as an already existing score).
  • Yellow shooting seahorse clipped through the bottom wall.
  • Odd bug where I arrived on final floor and was stuck on a black screen for a bit.

Overall, high quality submission. I enjoyed playing it, Well done!
