What do you like about your game?
This is a cosy game about creating life in the form of plants! Really pleased with the visuals and being able to hit that cosy vibe. Also learnt alot about 3D and L-systems along the way!

cute simulation with interesting modifiers and cool results. I would have liked a photo mode: the ability to properly control the camera for a good angle, plus an option to hide the UI to get a clean shot. and I really wish I could speed it up a bit, I guess I’m impatient.

(infinite money glitch: keep buying pollenation/fertilizer/alcohol when out of money, you’ll get it for free and then you can sell it for a profit!)

thank you for playing, I really wanted to do a photo mode too but unfortunately ran out of time! Will try to fix the bugs in the next iteration, appreciate the feedback!

my first school presentation was on L systems, very cool

Developer

thank you for playing!!

Very original gameplay. Relaxing and rewarding zen. It is interesting to experiment with different variations. And you want to return to the game later, despite the fact that it doesn’t challenge you or squeeze any emotions out of you (or maybe precisely because of this).

Developer

Thanks for playing! I definitely spent way too long on the algorithms and didn't leave enough time for the actual game play and juice!

The procedural generation looks pretty cool. It looks like there's a few variations I ended up not getting in my playthrough. Super cool how big you can make the plant.

Doesn't really seem like there's much to the gameplay, however. It's also a bit of a bother that certain things like the sun turn off every time the simulation menu reopens.

Cool stuff!

thanks for the feedback!

I think there's something here, but it's missing something.

The game as is also seems a bit buggy. Things don't cost the right amount, after a while the dirt and leaves disappear. I ended my session by adding 37 (free) dung to the plant, and then it hung for a minute and crashed lol.

I hope you finish this though! It's got potential!

This was really relaxing to play! It would be quite cool to have some way of going back to plants you've created, or perhaps having a way of saving particularly good ones :)

Developer

That is a wonderful idea! Definitely something I would look to implement when I work on it after the jam!

I like the background music while my tree is growing, and I love the idea where this is based on a book about plants, it's very original. I do feel that there isn't much game to it, but it's a chill thing to do when you're tired and I love it.

Developer

Really happy to hear that! I was aiming for that chill vibe so I am glad you manage to feel the intention behind the game. Thanks for spending the time to check out my game!

I really liked the growing animation that you put together for this, It was a fun experiment to try the different combinations and see the results while trying to make the best plant possible.

thank you for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed it!

I liked figuring out how each of the abilities affected the plants that grew. As I kept going though there were some bugs, first I had two suns and now my trees don’t produce leaves at all. It’s still really zen to watch the trees grow to some jazz music. :)

Developer

Definitely should have spent more time squashing those bugs! Thank you for playing my game and glad you enjoyed the zen experience :)

As other's said more of a cozy sim, but still very nice! It's a fun concept. I think it would be interesting to make it into an idle game.

Developer

that's a great idea, will definitely explore if / when I work on this after the jam in the future!

This is a nice, cosy... 'game'! Of course, as a prior comment said, this game is more of a simulation. But, it still is a nice, peaceful little game! But, this game definitely relies on modifiers. The base is there, then the modifiers do the rest, and you can also buy more than you have in points, and can infinitely buy modifiers, and one time I bought 200 of each the colour modifier and growth modifier, accidentally breaking the simulation, oops! however, this isn't entirely a bad thing.  The game is honestly quite nice to simply sit down and enjoy for a couple minutes. not much more, but for this kind of game, that's great. Overall, even though this isn't much of a game per se, it's still quite a nice play for a couple minutes, even if there are a couple of bugs. Good job!

Developer(+1)

I definitely spent way too much time on the algorithms and didn't leave much time for the user experience and bug fixes! Thanks for the feedback and taking the time to check out my game!

You're welcome! I think that this would be really cool as like a continuation of the game if you made it so that you could save the creations to some sort of greenhouse or plot, that would be really neat! But for 14 days, it's still really cool!

this is more of a simulation but I appreciate the "game", it is fun to create new tree but it lacks a clear goal apart from unlocking every box. And i like the music which is very relaxing

Developer

thanks for checking out my game and for the feedback!
