always love a good sokoban-style puzzle game and this takes it in a pretty refreshing direction! instead of pushing boxes using the player character, you push around the level based on what color you selected, its pretty cool! the puzzles have a good mix of challenge to them while giving some nice puzzles to ease the player into the game! i was worried for a bit that the puzzles would overwhelm me immediately with their complexity due to the color mixing mechanic, but i never really felt too lost during a puzzle (even in that behemoth of a last level) so im glad for that! i like the idea of a level gauntlet in the second half, though i wish that it was a bit clearer on how to access it, since it doesn't show up in the level select screen.

the visuals are amazing too! very much feels like Baba Is You with the flat colors, cute flag, and the two frame idles for the objects on screen (which looks so good on the wizard by the way)! the wizard is also a really simple but pleasant to look at design, i love it! love the extra details that were added to give the visuals some extra flare like the scan lines and the slight crt bend effect (or rather a fish-eye lens distort thing), really makes the visuals pop! also like the sound effects used for moving the level and switching colors, they were impactful sounds while not feeling grating to constantly hear!

this was a really fun puzzle game, had to think a lot for this one, making it a really engaging experience, great work!

I love the puzzles, you got a pretty nice tutorial and pretty challenging puzzles, got me hooked till the end, I love it! I do think sometimes it gets a little too much, it's pretty hard juggling all the colors together, like a Rubik's cube where you finish some part and get scared of messing it up while you try to get the rest in place, but as a whole the levels allowed you some experimentation without horrible consequences, sometimes you could just walk around without thinking too much about what you were doing and then you'll figure it out.

I also really love the graphics, you turned additive blending into gameplay which gave you a nice excuse to mess around with shaders! That overlay on top of the chonky pixels looked cool, let you differentiate from the typical pixel art games and allowed you to mess around with color animations and pixel movement without having them break the pixel aesthetic too much, pretty smooth! Sound effects were also cool, fit the pixel/old monitor aesthetic very well. I just kinda missed music, I think it was the only ingredient to top of a great cake.

But yeah, definitely one of the my favorite games so far, great job!

Interesting puzzle idea. It reminded me of Baba is You.

My only complaint is that it is a bit hard to keep track of the colours and their mixes. I wish each colour had specific glyphs/icons to make it easier to reason about the combinations (and to be colourblind friendly).

Thank you for making this available on Linux :)

yeah, i took alot of inspiration from baba is you while making it, for example the character animation is directly inspired by baba is you

someone else has given me a really good suggestion for differentiating the colors already, which i plan to implement if i make a full version of this game

Hey, this was fun. Linux version worked perfectly. A very simple concept that you executed really well to make a fun little puzzler that kept me thinking. I thought you had a good mix of easy and hard puzzles, and each puzzle seemed to have a fairly clear way to reach the goal once you were able to look far enough ahead. Some of the puzzles in the second half of the game get a little cluttered with so many coloured block, and it’s sometimes a little hard to keep track of where the flags are, but overall I thought you did well with this puzzle game :).
