This was surprisingly cool and polished! I really like the graphics, especially the design of the main protagonist. I have no experience with designing platformers, but I imagine a huge amount of effort must have gone into achieving this level of quality in just two weeks. As for criticism, I'll second what others have said: more story elements might have made it more suitable for AdvJam, this way I'm not sure how much it qualifies as an "adventure" or "narrative" game. Great job nonetheless, and a solid basis to expand into a full game!
Thank you for the feedback and for playing our game, we really appreciate it.
Looks very cool, I like it)
Thanks for playing!
This was so awesome! Loved the music and sfx. Really good combat feel and a huge amount of content for only 2 weeks. Super well done!
Thanks for playing and really appreciate your kind comment.
Super impressive! Great graphics and general look-and-feel, nice smooth motion controller that I found easy to use. You implemented both a lot of different well-designed mechanics and a lot of interesting puzzles on a really big map that I enjoyed exploring. There were some bugs--most notably it would respawn me under the platform where I could only fall to my death--but for the amount of content you made, they're really minimal. Not an adventure game though.
Thanks dude. We're really glad that you liked it. We'll fix the bugs for sure and hope you'll play it again! Thanks a lot!
I'm not a fan of platformers, I'm always pressing the wrong keys and die quickly. This one however I found relatively easy to move around in. The levels are well build, love the fact that you can take different routes to get to the same point.
Maybe a little background story telling us who the knight is and what he's doing there would add to the adventure vibe?
Thanks for the kind words, we're definitely improve the game after this jam and add a backstory to our knight. Thanks again!
Really impressive level of detail and polish for this jam! My favorite detail is the animation when you block an attack, but the variety of different enemies and environment pieces is seriously remarkable. I concur that this could easily be expanded on and developed and polished further into a proper little Metroidvania (or just action-platformer) title.
The only real critique I have is the default controls...what kind of hands do you have that make it easy to reach C, F, Q, R, and SPC all at once?! Still, it didn't actually seem to cause me much trouble, so maybe it's my hands that are weird. Awesome stuff!
Thanks a lot for the kind words. It's really encouraging to see these kind of comments. For the controls we tried like a million combinations and at last we decided to choose this one, we know it's perfect but we didn't have much time to test it on real gamers! Sorry about that!
Anyways thanks again!
I wouldn't really call this an adventure game but the result is gorgeous for a platformer/metroidvania made in 2 weeks! I wonder how you succeeded to achieve this result so fast. Looking great!
Hey Icehouse, thanks for your comment. We are a 2-man team so we can split stuff between us and it helps us to do things a little bit faster.
Impressive work! We can sense the various inspirations that tends more to metroidvania/action games than adventure but you still feel an adventure vibe. With more polish after the jam, that could become a complete game really fast. Good job!
Thank you for taking your time to play our game and provide feedback and thank you for your beautiful and encouraging words. We really appreciate it.
What a gorgeous pixel art action platformer! The graphics are breathtaking, you are so talented I am jaleous!! I did encounter quite a few small glitches in the movement / gameplay, and ended up being stuck quite a few times and having to start over - with a little work to make the movement a bit more solid, this could be an amazing little deadcells game. Great music / mood overall, I loved how the player had to navigate between worlds.
Fnatastic job overall
thank you so much for playing, we really appreciate it and also thank you for your feedback we will definitely consider them and improve ourgame.
