Fun cartoony adventure starring scuzzy bandmates. Good audio and voice acting. Some issues hamper overall enjoyment - random performance hitches and hitboxes during one segment are a little frustrating - but they don't detract from the absurd humor and shifting point of view.
Yeah the hitboxes are deliberately wide to show that even getting close to a zombie is deadly. If I made a post-jam version, which I probably will not do, I would make them jump at you.
Great humor and voice acting. I really enjoy the retro aesthetic, character designs, and simple animations. I laughed a lot, especially when I stole the speaker while the barista made my third 30 dollar coffee. Hot raw fish would make a great band name. The soundtrack is very enjoyable and having one for each gameplay portion made it feel very appropriate.
It felt a little too easy to get zombified, like maybe the trigger for it was a little too large. Also I probably wouldn't have found the love songs record without looking through the comments here. Noticed one typo "pearl of thunder" says "peal." The sushi kitchen area seems a little buggy going in and out of, sometimes it turns off and sometimes it doesn't. I desperately wanted the sidewalk in front of the music shop to be traversable. And as some others stated, it gets very laggy towards the end.
Overall this was supremely enjoyable front to back, and the ending credits song was a nice payoff. I didn't expect the band to rock so hard :] Nice touch using the voice actors names as band member names, as they all seemed like quirky musician names already haha Some dynamite humor and absurdism throughout, and a very appropriately placed stabbing as well. Great work Vance!
That was great! The moment in the music store when it started to go crazy really made me gasp and then laugh out loud, and it only got crazier from there. Love the voices, and the puzzles were fair. As others have said, it lagged a bit at the end when multiple characters were walking around the town, but nothing too bad. Great job!
Your games are always crazy. I love it. The characters are SO FUN, and I know they're based on real people but I could totally see the four of them being the protagonists of a series of silly adventures.
For some reason the game started lagging a lot towards the end.
The fact that you put yourself and your band into the game is something I particularly enjoyed. The story was fun and well-written. I got some performance issues at the end of the game, but I guess it was because I played the online build.
The "Audiospawn" song was really, really good.
Overall, I had a very good time playing it. Well done, Vance!
Loved the little moments that threw a spanner in the works in this game! The voice acting is charming, makes me smile :D I'm stuck though. Can't work out what to do when have control of the 3rd character. Think I went everywhere, and found who i was looking for, but can't interact. Really want to hear the song!
**SPOILER** When you find the zombie you are looking for, he is in the kitchen, so you can't interact with him yes. There is someone in town who should be able to open that door. ***MORE SPOILERS IF THAT DOESN'T HELP*** You need things from the music store, park, and coffee shop then find the sushi chef in the bar
Thanks! Was on the right track, just missing the first of those ;)
Great game! On top of what I already mentioned, character art and of course the music were highlights too!
This game is so idiot that i love it soo muuch.
i laughed alone few times and is quite rare for me.
The ending song is awesome.
That is a nice entry, I really liked it, congratulations !
I really like the style, you will change character along with the story, the voice acting is really good, and the music too
The Gay Agenda might have been my favorite from last year's Adventure Jam and this one was just as subversive and fun. The casual shanking of the music store clerk made me crack up.
With Vance's games you should always expect the unexpected. And I got precisely what I expected: nothing was expected. Sick, twisted, and hilarious!
This is absolutely EPIC. It couldnt have been any better
wow - it's like an 80s horror teen movies with a great soundtrack :-) - I loved the idea of the multiple players with their game section - and then a last shared part - as I said on twitter too, I really like the character's graphics :-) - nice work, congratulation
Excellent voice acting and graphics. Puzzles were just the right difficulty, and the game has a lot of variation in there. Only point of improvement I can think of is it takes a bit long to walk from place to place.
A hilariously absurd game, I genuinely laughed out loud several times! The puzzles were excellent and engaging. There were a couple of times when I didn't know why I had to do something (like wooing the chef) but the revelation added to the comedy. The story was fun and and I enjoyed the music and voice acting as well. I thought the animations were also pretty well done, nothing felt odd or out of place. Overall, a very fun experience!
Thanks for playing! Yours is definitely on my list. I'll get to it soon.
