The game is really fun, and hard. At times it felt like I needed to use muscle memory, and not just react to what was happening on the screen. Some parts were hard to figure out, I think having some sort of collectibles making a path would be helpful. They could give you points, or freeze the time or something. I understand the stages are really short, but I still wish there were some checkpoints. Then again, I saw myself improving, so if it's one of those games where you rage until you get better, then they may not be needed. It depends on what kind of game you are going for.

The movement felt good. I really like how your dash speedlines look, although I personally would prefer to always dash in the direction the camera is facing, and not the character.

Even though I was getting better at your game I was nowhere near your expected times. I strongly related to the feeling of being too good at your own game, and having a hard time judging how difficult it is going to be for other people.

Hey, I beat it, it was pretty fun!

Mouse sensitivy as a setting would be great. Well in general I didn't like the camera, it felt like it was getting in my way. Like when planning how to make a jump, I'd factor in how to fix the camera so it doesn't fuck it up.

I didn't like the last level. The side panels felt unreliable and weird (like do you get the boost by running into them?). I also couldn't tell if the crystal were doing anything.

The fourth level took a little while, but it was the most fun I think. Figuring out how to make the jumps was pretty rewarding.

I would've uploaded a video, but I screwed up and the footage's gone, unfortunately.

I failed miserably at the third level and couldn't get up the vertical climb. The character is cute and the movement and momentum is done well. There's quite a bit of difficulty but I'm sure that was what you were going for. I think the main thing it is missing is a mini tutorial or even controls. I hope you find a title for your game :)

Beat the first two levels, got filtered by the rest.

The game has a very nice sense of speed. The 3rd and 5th level really show it in a very satisfactory way. The character despite being simple is cute and its animations are lively.

About the controls, I didn't find them too comfortable. I found myself falling down platforms a lot, either about to jump or landing on them. Having to land on a tiny platform at top speed while wrestling with the camera was too challenging for me.

I know the levels are small and easily repetable, but a checkpoint system for practicing difficult parts would be nice.

Nice game, it is a good base to keep building on.

Great feedback, thank you for playing!

I got through all the levels! The third one was the hardest, getting the dash controls down and keeping the momentum after the wall jump, but I really like how you have a sense of getting better as you play more. I don't think I got any of the time trial medals (except bronze on the second level), but I love how you can feel a sense of progressively getting faster as you play the levels more. For me that culminated in level 5, which I played through without stopping even once on my final go. VERY good feeling.

I think that is the strongest suit of your game, that exciting sense of speed. Levels 2 and 5 were my favorites because they felt they got that across the strongest.

The only other thing I would comment on is that I would also prefer some sense of control rebinding, Q didn't work all that well for me, or maybe I just have a twitchy ring finger.

All in all great job, looking forward to see where you take this!

Developer

Wow you may be the only person who made it through all 5 levels. I honestly wasn't sure anyone would beat 5, and most people seemed to get stuck at 3.  Great job!

I agree with you that the levels where you can pick up a lot of speed are the strongest. I want to make more of those. Key rebinding is also on the to do list.

Thanks a lot for playing and for the feedback!

Got filtered by the first level, couldn't get passed the giant forward jump with the one jumppad in between. Got too frustrating always being reset right to the beginning of the level. And then it all being timed aswell. I'm also assuming theres not much there yet, except whats already in the first few seconds of it. Sorry that I didn't gave it a longer playthrough.

Tried it with controller and keyboard, it seems a lot more suited to controller, but the camera movement is abysmally slow there.

Very cut protagonist and animations. All the stretching, the dashlines, the small cloudpuffs etc. are really well done, good Job. Wish the worlds would look more interesting tho, instead of just debug grids, but I guess its too early for that. Also it doesn't strike me as a supposed to be a super hard platformer, but it kind of is at the moment, seems jumps are pretty tight. I'd think this would do better with a Mario64 kind of approach, instead of fully linear levels and a timer.

Sorry again that I didn't properly play through it.

Sorry for the frustration. You're right that a lot of jumps are pretty tight. The levels seem to be a lot harder for people than I anticipated, probably because I got so used to my own controls.

Really appreciate the feedback, thanks for giving it a shot!

This is a very solid base for what could be a fun game. The camera needs work and the wall jumping needs to be fine tuned.

Mogs the movement in my 3d ball game hard! Very fun and cute.
Could I put dash on left shift instead of q?

Looking forward to playing your game.

Rebinding controls is definitely on the to do list. Thanks for playing!

The levels are meant to be short enough that you wouldn't really need checkpoints, but it may be a case of being too good at my own levels. Thanks for the feedback!

You got a good formula on your hands. You could probably get away with leaving the visuals as is and just changing up the color pallet on later levels. Instantly accelerating to top speed feels pretty jank, but you get used to it. Main menu works great, but the pause menu buttons have hitboxes that are too small.

Developer

I agree the character acceleration could use some adjustment. Menus were slapped together yesterday so I'm glad they work at all. Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

Decently fun if difficult after getting used to the controls(which don't seem to work too well with a  controller, especially camera). Game looks pretty good for what it is. Main issue is the act of respawning midair and keeping your camera angle, it made me kind of nauseated at times, and made me mess up multiple times, since I'm used to games like this spawning you on the ground, with a specified looking direction.

Overall pretty good, if you're into precision platformers.

Developer

Yeah gamepad controls are still a WIP. Will definitely fix the respawn positions. Thanks for playing!
