Track description | Creative process
I envision this track being part of a fictional hardcore difficulty DLC that reworks existing bosses into a synthesizer/ hardware counterpart.

I used linndrum drum samples to try to achieve that 80s disco vibe, while mixing in trance elements like FL studio's transistor bass (a sort of Roland TB-303 synth).

To keep it credible as a soundtrack for a rhythm game, I kept the four-on-the-floor rhythm going throughout the song, even in transitions, so the player always has an audible anchor to when to perform an action on the beat.

I loved how you led the chords of the song! What a delicious tone to listen to and the mix is spaced out brilliantly.

The bass takes us to one side and then throws us into a section that feels like a macabre but magical portal. It's excellent! Congratulations!

Very good track! You nailed the theme of this jam, and you do your own interpretation of the key elements of the original OST, maybe it lacks some punchiness on some elements, but everything works nicely.

Really cool instrument sounds, thanks for sharing the samples you used! Appreciate the dance beat, I can definitely see this as a level in the game. Some very cool sounds around 1:30 but I also found some of the sounds a little too harsh for my personal preference - great job overall though!

Love your mastering!
(except for the hihat i find a bit too loud/dry, kinda scratched my eardrum, but I know I'm sensitive to some sound so it may not bother other)
Great song!

Thank you!!! There was a lot more I wanted to do with the mixing, but I had Brackey's gamejam coming up so I didn't have any time left

Nicely done, you kept the toms fill like the original, small tribute to that. I like the concept idea you went for very interesting and fits very well. good job

daang what a bop!! I also just learned the term "four on the floor" from your creative process blurb haha, so it's also an educational bop!

I can totally see this style as an alternative take on the original. I would definitely vibe with it! The composition goes really hard, definitely one of my favourites.

I wonder how often you listened to the original before this, because I do hear some similarities to the original (mainly in the beginning of your submission). But might've been something you aimed for since you mentioned this being used as a 'rework'.

One thing to note is that the transition at 0:55 breaks the rythm a bit too much in my opinion. Nevertheless, an amazing submission!

Tbh, I listened to it once or twice. I started with some inspiration from the bass riff that played during the intro of the song and it kind of came together as I was going. I was coming back to the song just to listen to the mixing, but from the part that I started to add the trance elements it was becoming something completely different to the original.
