Track description | Creative process
Created in about a day

This track brings together the vibrant energy of a big band, with punchy brass, strings, bass, and keyboard melodic phrases taking center stage. I went for a danceable classic disco beat with some modern elements. To capture the aquatic essence of the coral boss battle, I layered in 'watery' percussions, adding a unique texture that immerses the listener.

I'm here after the jam finished, checking out some of the top submissions to see if I can learn something from them. I think your song is great :). It is relatively simple, great to be in the background of a boss fight, but very well-executed. It got few but powerful chord progressions, a nice brass section, a pleasant-sounding synths, a good rhythm and a strong beat. And I love the bubbly sound - did you use some form of synth or a sound effect for that? Overall, I like having this song on repeat, well done!

Thank you, it is some sound effects that I used in the plugin XO, processed a bit and played like a rhythm section.

These arpeggios are wonderful! The theme plays a lot with the genres you mentioned, it was amazing! You developed each section, played with the possibilities of the timbres presented, I loved it. There's room for all the progressions. Fantastic!

Cool! Really reminds me of the original soundtrack, good job!

This is dope! Love the diverse sound effects, the smooth bass, and the squishy sound effects, definitely a great vibe and a great submission!

This is fantastic! I love the big band sound you have here, and all the layers play on each other in a very necrodancer style! The rhythm is strong, the brass is fun and the keyboard fills in all the right gaps for me without making it sound busy.

I think this is the best one I’ve heard so far, you’ve managed to take it in your own creative direction in terms of sound but it didn’t feel like it would be out of place in the OST at all!

Hi FoxHyode! This is SO COOL!!!

The brass adds a lot of strength to the arrangement, I loved them. Also the watery sounds made me laugh, for some reason they reminded me of some Stardew Valley SFX haha

Awesome submission!!!

It's so... filled but not full... like everything fit really well together without being to much!

Great mix!

Probably the sound I liked the most for this jam, so well done!

Love it! The arpeggios and the mix with the melody base, the rythym... wow, really good job!

Love all the little background stuff with the synth sequences and everything you got on this! The square pluck with delay on it really adds a lot to the feel.

For just a day, really great work!
