Love the art style and amazing particle effects. Nice music. The UI was well made and had some cool options. The intro scene looked great.

P.S. The winners will be announced on the 1/16/2021, 9 PM GMT on the discord

For Only 2 weeks this is amazing the combat and the movement are soooo smooth and responsive, the graphics are amazing, and the music works very well with the combat. I love the pacing of the game along with the free wallpapers! Great Job i cant wait for future updates !

This is an amazing game! The gameplay is so smooth and addictive, having variety of upgrades lets you keep going for a long time.
Apart from game play, it looked great! The post processing, the particles, the lighting, everything was amazing,  It looks like like a full fledged mobile game. Add some touch control and just release it on google play as it is :D
I also really liked the idea of being able to change music and the "mood" of the level whenever you want.

I want to give useful and honest feedback but I couldn't find any issues or anything wrong with the game. Great job!

Best game i've ever seen in a jam, you are a magician in menus, i think it's an important thing.

The cursor is bad btw, i cant see it! D: (maybe changing it in green should work).

if this was for a commercial game btw, i would use this only for a minigame or two levels, because after 1-2 matches you get bored, you want something more and, most importantly, something with a story that catches you and keep you playing it!

You are a very good developer, keep up the good work!

Hope to see you on steam! ;)

Developer

Thank you a lot :D I absolutely agree with your points. Both the cursor and the enemy projectiles should be a different color. There is not content in the game and it get's boring, sadly it took me so much time to build the skeleton of the game that I didn't have time to add content and that's all my fault. It needs a lot more work into it  to be a commercial game. Again thank you for your kind words. wish you the best too ;)

I've got to be honest here. This is my personal favorite game submission.

First of all, the soundtrack is TOP notch. The sounds are perfect for this sort of game and I love how it changes up when low on oxygen/health. The graphics and design are simple, yet charming and clean. Playing this really made me reminisce about the first time I played my favorite game, NieR: Automata (which may be why I enjoyed this so much idk lol). I played this for maybe an hour straight. I don't know if you plan on developing this further, but I do wish that you had the option to keep the gun you bought from the previous round (I was so happy with this 500-cost one I saved up for and had to go back to the default one the next round) or some sort of permanent upgrade to your character so your resource uses feel more impactful the longer you play.

Thank you for making this. I had a really good time.

Developer

Thank you so much for your words. I knew most people wouldn't prefer the music because it's a little bit uncommon. But I kept it anyway for maybe those few people who would enjoy it as myself ^^ Just because it clicked for me with the character design and aesthetics. You made me immensely happy with your comment ^^

The fact that you love NieR makes so much sense! It is something that crossed my mind and some ideas I wanted to steal from it, like to add some more gameplay sections, when you go to the rocket for example to turn into a different game .^^ NieR is on top of my wishlist for a long time, because I played only for an hour or something because my pc could barely handle it. Thank you for reminding me again that I need to play and finish this game, I totally will.

As for the game.. sadly it's no where near a complete experience, what you say about progression is absolutely right, there must be a sense of progression. As also content and variation! Points of interest, collectables, more enemies and more gameplay interactions with the player and the world. Sadly it took me so much time to polish and find the right mood for the game, that I was almost out of time and I added everything at the last few days. I believe the game could be developed a lot further into a pretty good experience. I was burned out from the last push and didn't continue working on it yet, but a comment like yours totally makes me think of continuing it ^^

Take care!

This looks really cool, you could really expand on this. Although I have one problem... Your aiming cursor is the same color as the bullets! I can't see where to aim

This played really well on the first planet... then the second planet I was dropped right in the middle of a TON of enemies and died within seconds. There is a little bit of oddness to the aiming where it doesn't seem to quite line up with the mouse, but I can get over that. Being overwhelmed by enemies as soon as I left the ship maybe not as much, lol. The game is beautiful, and I loved the music selection too.

Developer

Hi! Thank you a lot! Well the enemy ratio except the first planet sadly is totally random ^^ Wish i put more work on it to scale it up correctly, so maybe you were extremely unlucky, sorry for the inconvenience... As for the mouse you are absolutely right. The thing is because the space is curved, the target of the hero cannot remain flat at the screen because when you aim far away the bullets would not go at your mouse position because of the curvature of the world, so i had to fake a mouse that always stays at the surface of the planet so the bullets go exactly where you aim. Thanks for the feedback ;)

wow just wow, what a cool game. how much of the memory was post processing lol. the only problems i had were that the enemy bullets looked very similar to their death effects or the carbon. I think its a bit of a missed opportunity to have the planet go all the way around. but otherwise, what a great job, well done, bravo.

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much! I totally agree with you about the enemy bullets it's something that is not very clear. Wish i had more time to make the planet go all around, but the solution i found at the time was quite difficult, i think i had to recreate the terrain from all 8 direction and teleport the player just when he got at the edges of the map back to the other side to make the transition seems flawless. It's something that i've never done and decided to skip it for the jam to save some time. But it's something that i am gonna look into it now that i have more time :D

It would be cool if people could play it in the browser, but that was a really cool game!

Developer

Thank you a lot! I planned to make it playable on the browser but sadly the game run really bad on browser and i was already on the last day so it didn't  make it in time.

Wow! This was great. Very well polished game. I like the music you used, and paired with the visuals it made me feel strangely nostalgic. Terrific work!

Developer

Thank you for your kind words ^^ I am so glad about this nostalgic feeling since that's what i felt when i combined the music with the visuals and decided to build upon that :D

Haha! Thank you very much! Technically you are not wrong, i've been making games for some years now but i've been quite shy about them and this is the first year that i started joining games jams and sharing my games ^^
