I really liked the story, it was quite relatable :D

The chips/bottle choosing doesn't work correctly. Lot of times when you click on it it doesn't register. They have very small hit boxes where you have to click to choose one.

The stereotypes were borderline offensive but its fine by me.

Liked the text to speech story and the ambient sounds in the game.

The main menu's buttons overlap if you don't play in fullscreen mode. Look into canvas scaling, easy problem to fix.

It's not my kind of game but I liked the idea and it fit the theme nicely. I would love to try what you could do with this concept if you developed it further. Good one!

Awesome game! Loved the sound design and an awesome take on the theme, I'll admit it took me a bit to learn the mechanics but once I got it it was really fun and kept me thinking a step ahead, awesome submission, I hope to see you in more jams!

Thanks a lot for the sweet comment <3

Very interesting idea. Took me awhile to grasp it, but I like the idea of having to balance placing people in limited seating.

Thanks for playing Ben!

I liked the idea, and how it fit with the theme. It makes for an overall fine puzzle game. The art also looks quite good.

Despite other people saying they didn’t understand the idea of the game well, I gotta say that after reading the in-game tutorial, everything was clear to me.

However, I feel there was some lack of diversity, which is honestly fine, coming from a 72 hour game jam. For example, the dog only affects 1 character, and only 1 person wants to be on the ground. I still think the game is fine as it is, but if you were to expand this, this would be the first thing I’d look into.

Also, the transitions are too sudden. For example, it’s always startling when I complete the last round and it immediately takes me to the title screen, since I wasn’t expecting it, and I wasn’t looking at the number of rounds left.

And of course, there’s the UI issue which many others have pointed out already.

Despite the negatives, I generally enjoyed the game. Congratulations on finishing!

Many thanks for the lovely feedback, and for playing! We wanted to release it on smartphones eventually, so your points are very useful and definitely something to focus on when fixing the game. Thanks!!

You should really make all the UI scale with screen size, it felt very crammed.

  • Theme: Its okay for the history.
  • Audio: Just hear the music.
  • Visuals: I honestly didn't like it. Very confunsing as you tried to populate and make the room very alive it miss the contrast between the "objects" (images).
  • Gameplay: A nice puzzle after getting the hang of the game and avoiding the visual conflict.

Congratulations on the game.

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! Something to focus on for our next game-jam for sure.

Its fun I cant fault you for UI,  Unity's UI can be tricky when resizing, good job! (side note the grey poupon commercial+  was a nice touch)

The concept is very cool and unique, but at the start it can be very overwhelming and hard to understand!

Developer

Thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback! Agreed, have to communicate the concepts better to the player before he start playing

Really good, it fit the theme really well. I think a way to make it better would be to add a timer for how long it takes to seat someone.

Thanks for playing and for your feedback!!

Fun game and a great concept that fits the theme really well, but I have to agree with the rest of the comments, it was hard to know why the score changed and how what you chose affected the score. Nice game!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Agreed, making a proper tutorial will definitely be a top priority for my next jan. Thanks for the feedback!

Great concept, you should maybe add more feed backs to understand when a people is pleased and when you got score. Nice Job!

Thank you! Agreed, need to communicate all the core gameplay parts better. Something to improve for the next jam for sure. Thanks for playing!

Fun game, the concept is cool and it was strategically interesting trying to figure out where to place people. Fits the theme really well too. Only things I might change is that the audio in the main room is kind of weird (maybe it's supposed to sound like a static-y tv?) and that it wasn't super clear how what I did affected the score. I found myself watching the score number every round trying to figure out how it was affected by people leaving. Also the UI was a bit odd on my screen like you said in the comments, that might have been part of it.

Developer

Thank you!! Totally agree with the comments, we were struggling a lot with how to communicate the core gameplay mechanics to the player. Definitely something to improve for the next jam. Thanks for playing!
