Pretty fun to play! Liked inertia-based movement and how hard it is to control the ship.

Played on Chromium/Linux; HUD sometimes doesn’t appear, or appears after playing for a bit, same with exhaust. Never saw any lasers or the green bar at the bottom.

Edit: seems the problem is on my end; a lot of other games have graphical glitches in Chromium, but work perfectly fine in Firefox.

Glad you enjoyed! Yeah I spent 10 hours trying to fix this stuttering I couldn't figure out the root cause in time.

Loved the HUD indicators. Does have a learning curve but once you get a hang of it, it feels very intuitive. Could be a really fun game with some sound effects and polish!

Thank you <3

That was fun! I just wish it was possible to zoom out so you can actually appreciate the orbital mechanics in the game. And I agree the hud looks fantastic!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your feedback! We had to deprioritize the zoom unfortunately :'(

The interface is cool. It would be clearer to see the current movement if the background moves along when moving. Several times I didn’t know what happened and was directly hit by a sudden planet meteor.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Do you mean that you have the impression that you are not moving through space, or that the radar is confusing?

The intended mechanic is to use the radar to watch out for objects. The problem I currently see with it is that planets' current positions are shown while the planned trajectory takes into account their future positions.

What I mean is that because the background is fixed, it is not very intuitive to judge whether you have really moved to avoid the flying objects just by using the radar interface. But overall it is fun and interesting. ; )

The game could actually benefit a bit from being slowed down - to make it easier to figure out the orbits and gravity and stuff. There is another gravity-based / orbital game and I think you pulled it off better. I have often speculated about "what would a gravity based shooter be like?" and now I have the answer! I'm going to give you a huge thumbs up!

Thank you for your feedback and compliment ! During development, I throurougly enjoyed the game being hard and fast and learning to handle the spaceship & plan orbits while being in the middle of the shooting chaos. I do agree with you, it may be too difficult. I had the whole duration of the jam to learn these mechanics but new players do not.

This is really cool / clean visually. Cool to find another game in the game with a difficulty setting called "impossible."

I think I still don't really understand how to interpret the HUD, but I did manage to dodge some things and track and exterminate a few packs of enemies.

The game felt a bit fast / chaotic and my ship would occasionally go into a crazy spin.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback ! The chaoticness of the game is partly intentional although I think it might have indeed helped to tune it down a bit. Playing around with the course planner was a big part of the fun we had when making the game, I'll probably update the description to try and make things clearer !
