  • Simple asteroid game but doesn't offer much other than that. Would've liked to see more creativity to make it a more unique experience.

Hey!

How are you? It's Ilias again. I have some new questions for you.

What do you think about game jams in general, and this game jam in particular? What do you think could have been better, and do you have any suggestions?

What were your favorite video games?

Where do you think the strength of video games resides? What do you believe a video game should have to be a successful video game?

If you would like, you can tell me a little bit more about yourself and your background, if you have any information you would like to share.

Thank you in advance,

Ilias.

Hey  BulletInMe!

How are you? My name is Ilias.

I tested your game, "Asteravoid."

In the normal mode (Not full screen) , there is a bug with the UI , it's not showing properly .

Maybethere is a sound(audi) bug too , there is no sound playing , i am using Microsoft Edge .

I was initially planning to provide feedback on the controls, suggesting they could be more comfortable, but I noticed that no one had mentioned it in the comments section.

Questions:

Did you implement any optimization techniques, or did you choose to use only in-engine optimizations?

What engine and tools did you use to create your game, including the graphics?

How challenging was it to develop your game? Did you face any significant obstacles?

What inspired your game idea and gameplay? Could you share the story behind the game's name?

How did you get into video game development?

Note: It would mean a great deal to me if you could rate my game. If you haven't already, feedback from friends and fellow gamers is valuable to me. Thank you in advance for your consideration and your time.

Thanks!

Ilias.

Good, simple fun. Could have deeper mechanics involved but other than that I enjoyed giving this a go. Nicely done!

This reminds me of early miniclip/flash games days. I only wish the controls were continuous as opposed to single press. As others have said, a bit of variety would go a long way but nonetheless great work :)

Fun little game!

great simple game! i liked how it got more difficult over time, whilst also giving you more rockets to shoot

Nice little game, with a good difficulty progression, personally think nonlinear movement would improve the feel :)

Fun little game, nice sprites. Overall good experience :)

I got until about a score of 300 and i'm not sure if you ever need more then one bullet. Mixing this up and have a bit more variety would improve the game alot

XD. An anti-casual system?

The game is kinda static, but that didn't stop me to put some music in the background and get a 357 of score. 👌

Cool UFO game. I would add a bit more dynamic in the game. Also a life hack, you can shoot using "D" instead of space which is easier for me xD

Nice work! got something like 562. Nice difficulty curve, with more obstacles per line at start, and then having the series of obstacles getting closer and closer by the end, well done overall!

Good fun, I like the pixel art!
