Wow lovely artwork. The movement fits well. Very cool game :)

Nice game concept with very spooky artwork and music. Would have like to have seen it a later stage of development :)

Thanks for playing, glad you liked it. I agree about the transitions :)

Thanks for playing, watching someone play is a rewarding insight into the positives and negatives. Sorry you didn't get to craft anything.

I had a look into it and it sounds like it might be a problem on your end caused by browser/extensions. Not 100% sure. You can try the direct link to my game which might work but shot in the dark really :) https://html.itch.zone/html/11550223/GB12/index.html

Wow that storyline gave me the chills, personally I think the creature is too OP.

Thanks for playing, I'm glad you liked it. The text critique is more than fair :)

Cool spin on the pokemon style, the demon graphics are really well done. The music is nice just gets repetitive after a while. Would like to see this game in it's full form :)

Nice game with cute artwork. The movement feels very nice especially the gravity. Fell in a pit on the first level and there's no way of restarting in game which broke the emersion, but not a massive problem :)

Nice game, with cool artwork. I feel like the ghost should be able to walk through the bottom left wall in the first room just for continuity :)

Good game with amazing art and a nice storyline. The only problem I had was with the fireball delay :)

Good little game, with a nice difficulty progression. I feel like the coin collect animation needs to be more noticable the first round I played It felt like the coin collection was laggy until I noticed the $ slightly change. Also the score sometimes started above 0 and once when the game ended my score jumped from 20 something to 40.

I'm glad you liked it and thank you for you detailed feeback.

1. Good point I hadn't thought of this, thanks for the idea.

2. That idea was the spark that started this whole game concept, just didn't get around to implement (was meant to  collect items from enemies to create a device that allowed you to find holes in the walls to get to the final level (currently lvl 11))

3. This would be nice but idk how i would do it (currently they work like this: Attack; if defeat enemy +3*enemyLevel, Dodge; +1 if fail +3 if success(bad mechanic needs to be changed too OP), Run; -1 fail +1 success). If you have any idea of a nice way of displaying this I would appreciate hearing them a lot :)

4. I like this mechanic, am I just mean?

5. Only one I completely disagree with (sorry). I think I encourages exploration eventually you will either die or get bored of fighting level 1 ghosts and either delete the game or enter the hole.

Really appreciate the feedback, if you have any responses to my responses of your responses or any other feedback that has come to mind I would be excited to hear them. But if not, thanks again and good luck on the game development journey :)

Yes it was fun to play. One of the best games I've played from the jam. All the elements had good synergy. Updating games from game jams is always a pain with all the messy code :)

Good storyline, with a nice gameboy art style. The black enemies look very spooky, I first went up to one of the other enemies thinking it was a character, personally I would remove the face or use a similar color theme to the black enemies to improve readability :)

Thanks for the kind words, glad you liked it :) Yh it's a shame I didn't get around to fixing the text speed

Cool artwork, and nice game concept. I struggled distinguishing what was the floor at times but I appreciate thats a challenge with only 4 colors :)

Nice games with good gameboy style artwork, I'm very good at not eating the soup :) after 50k eating the soup spoon gets a little shaky but I just presumed that was from excitement as I finally got to eat some :)

Nice game concept, with very cool graphic. The dropping down mechanic felt clunky but apart from that movement felt smooth :)

Don't worry your all good, you feedback is much appreciated. The fact the text speed is the main problem in my game is a massive complement. It's just the bug I fixed by decreasing the text speed wasn't worth fixing :)

The game is fun to play. The art style if very gameboy, and the music adds to fast pace atmosphere. The camera movement feels clunky at times and I found myself running into enemies that seeming appeared out of no where (personally I would of liked the camera to follow the character, with some slow smoothing to add to the feeling of speed). I would also say that the collisions with objects/walls feels unfair for the speed your moving and rounding the corners very slightly would make it feel more smooth. But that's just my extreme attention to detail, this is a really impressive game for a jam let alone only 3 days :)

Thank you for the feedback, glad you liked it. The text speed critique is more than fair, I had made it slower to fix another bug. But now regretting that decision, hey-ho :)

Cool game idea with cute artwork, if you try and exit the building on the left or right tile you enter the void which is very spooky :)

Game feels nice and spooky and the artwork is very good. Felt the first level is a bit to hard as if you miss a tile and the spider is right behind you then it's game over, but maybe just a skill issue on my part :)

Nice little game the movement feels really good. Felt a little empty but perfect for a first level :)

Nice game felt pretty complete, with lovely artwork. Sometimes the enemies would appear the disappear when entering a room, don't know if this is a bug or just a spooky feature :)

Cool idea and nice artwork, sometimes the m/k key doesn't work :)

Nice puzzle game, with cool artwork, felt very polished :)

Really cool game, with nice artwork, the game feels very harmonious and polished for a jam :)

Nice game with cool artwork, and a seemingly detailed story (I missed most of it as I'm a slow reader) :)

Cool little game, good variety of enemies and moves :) struggled to read the text but I think thats the point?

Really liked the game, very cool graphics and a cool gameplay idea (shame I have no clue how to play, if that could be explained, would be much appreciated). The sound is good but the music get a little annoying if you die a bunch of times, i found slightly changing the pitch_scale can give some much need variance. But I think the fact I like the game and don't know how to play says it all really :)

Nice casual game, I found I would get lost when i went to far out  either a boarder or some more of those cool sprites you made would help :)

Cool game concept with a nice art style, I found the spotlight hurt my eyes a bit maybe a me problem but I found it worse when it changed faster :)

Thanks you :) It was definitely a little ambitious, but I had fun pushing the limits of my ability. Glad you appreciated the effort :)

Thanks for playing glad you found it cool, yes it was ambitious for one person. I completely agree with your critique, had planned to make it so you could skip text and the fast text was originally faster (but broke ui), but that wasn't at the top of the bugs list (maybe it should have been) :)

Ah makes sense, cool idea :)

I found the levels very disorientating, which I feel envokes the feeling of being lost, which fits the theme well. The music is nice. I feel the game could benefit from the character being locked to the tile map to give more of that gameboy feel :)

Cool art work that has a very soothing aesthetic, with a nice gameboy feel. I feel the trap could have been slightly larger or you could have multiple so that it would be more effective as a trap rather than a projectile as I think setting up a successful trap would be very satisfying, but maybe thats a skill issue on my part :)

Cool tower defence like game with it's own unique spin, can see how this could become fully fledged game with it's simple yet satisfying game mechanics. I filled my garden with pumpkins at the start which seems to be an OP strat, but i was a bit disappointed that I couldn't sell and replace them. I feel the game would really come to life if the objects had a simple animation when an enemy walked past. But it still feels very complete in it's current form :) I couldn't die (guess I'm just a pro gamer, xd) so idk if it would tell me what level I got to but the 20k coins I stole from the children was enough to give me a sense of achievement :)
