Great and fun game, I liked the main mechanic and how it was developed. The art is great, really beautiful. The only problem I had was with the game's sounds, I don't know if it was specifically a bug on my computer, on the browser, or in the game itself, but at the beginning it was a little blown out and loud, but it normalized shortly after. Congratulations on the great project!

- Concept was nice, good variety with different bombs, maps and gamemodes with levels. Game felt quite weird when you ran out of ammo though, maybe the ammo the player could be additional ammo but the player has a weak default ammo.
Tell us about your game!
It is P v P or P v AI game where the players battle together with only grenades and their dog companion to see who is the last player standing

Hey l0rn3 !
How are you? It's Ilias again. I have some new questions for you.
What do you think about game jams in general, and this game jam in particular? What do you think could have been better, and do you have any suggestions?
What were your favorite video games?
Where do you think the strength of video games resides? What do you believe a video game should have to be a successful video game?
If you would like, you can tell me a little bit more about yourself and your background, if you have any information you would like to share.
Thank you in advance,
Ilias.

To Rate My Game : A Little Thing Made Out Of Clay .
Hello again, hope your doing well.
Game Jams
Pros:
- Forces you to "complete" a game in a short period of time
- Get feedback to see if the game is worth completing
- Get to see other people's solutions to the same theme
- Good way to test skills as a developer
Cons:
- Many jams are a little too short for a solo developer
- A few of the comments left on peoples games are either negative, not useful, or just fishing for ratings
- Ratings seemed to not be a clear indicator of how good the game was, I feel people tend to rate emotionally rather than seeing the game for what it is
Only suggestion for this jam would be for it to have been a little longer as I feel the rivalry theme takes a lot of work (I think 12-14 days would have been perfect)
Favorite Games
In this jam: Looper
General: Counter Strike 2, BeamNG.drive (currently). Minecraft, GTA5 (all time)
Strong/Successful Games
I feel the strength of video games is that they have the ability to transport you to an alternate reality, and in turn bring a lot of joy to many people
I feel like the key to a successful game is long term playability and community engagement
Info
I am an indie games developer (have released 3 games and 1 app on android) straight out of college (UK) and have struggled to gain any significant traction on any of my games, have some ideas for some bigger games but either need funding or to make some decent money before embarking on that mission
Hey , i am doing good thank you !
I can relate to the pros and cons you mentioned. In general, I am not a fan of rating systems; I prefer judges evaluating the entries in game jams and competitions. I think it's fairer and more significant.
If I ever organize a game jam or a competition, I don't think I would include ratings. I'll go with judges evaluating entries as an option to determine the winners.
There are jams that last 30 days; that is nice.
Oh, the UK! I am from Morocco; I was born in Germany, spent some years there, and since then, I have been in Morocco.

Yeah !
Well 30 days it would give room to have some rest on some games, and ensuring all relevent ideas could make it into the final game entries !
Many think Morocco is Hot , but it's not always , at the moment it's a little cold , yeah winter !
probably mountains would maybe be covered with snow
-Ilias.
Yeah, there are cities like Ifrane and Oukaimeden that have a lot of snow in winter. Unfortunately, in the city I live in, which is next to the capital, there is no snow, only occasional rainfalls.
The city i live in is called salé , it was a safe haven for pirates back in the years ( info from history , i am not sure if it's legit, but still it makes for an interesting story )
The African continent has a distinguished variety, from nature and African villages to modernized cities. It's like Africa is no longer Africa in some regions.
Yes, Morocco is kind of a mixture of so many cultures now. It's westernized in some cities, but we don't have cowboys running with guns on their horses, at least not yet!
Made me chuckle when the AI engulfed themselves in their own flames. Easy win.
great and cute graphics the game is completely beautiful but I couldn't quite figure out the gameplay I think the level designs are pretty good too .
Had a lot of fun trying out the local multiplayer and spamming stun grenades at each other!
It gave off a bit of 'Mini Militia' Vibes. The controls felt a bit 'restrictive' It would be great to have more movement (higher jump & move speed etc) imo. Cool little concept too that you throw the nades in order you buy so you can sort of plan your strategy. Artwork is also complete.
it did lag for me which after every nade which hindered the experience :( Was super nice to play & Well done on the game :) ( I think this could be a great mobile game - look up 'mini militia' if you are not familiar with the game)
Hi, congratulations on the creation, I liked the idea of the game, it is very interesting, keep working on improving it, the idea of the game has a lot of potential for growth.

Hey l0rn3 !
How are you?
My name is Ilias.
I tested your game "Nade Wars" ,
I have some feedbacks, thoughts, and questions.
The loading at the begining was progressing correctly then it takes to much time !
Did you include any optimisation techniques or did you rather chose to include only the in-engine ones.
what engine and tools did you use to create your game , your graphics ?
was it hard to develop your game ? did you experienced any challenges ?
what inspired you for your game idea , and the gameplay ? The Game's name ?
Thanks!
-Ilias .
Hello, good thanks, I haven't worked on any optamization yet ran out of time, I use Godot and Pixel Studio, making a game alone in such a short period of time is quite stressful but apart from that the only real difficulty was the AI, ispiration came from super smash bros and cs:go but it should have it's own unique feel hopefully. Hope you enjoyed playing and this answers all your questions :)
It has a good art style, a great selection of maps, and the multiplayer game concept is well thought out(I always love local multiplayer). While playing the game I wasn't sure if there was a way to refill ammo(I was playing local multiplayer). After we ran out of weapons, we were lost. The weapons being faster would also lead to flashier gameplay. This is just my personal feedback.
Thanks for playing, hope you had fun, there is a draw function but it takes about 10 seconds to kick it would have been better for it to calculate based on the last nade thrown but unfortunately didn't get round to this so it does cause some awkward moments, i plan to add in nade drops and potentially supply crates which would allow for longer gameplay, what did you mean by make the weapons faster, there speed throught the air?
Dogs are the best companions ever) Cute graphic and an interesting idea. Looks like need some performance optimization, as I faced lags during explosions. And would like to see difficulty curve, hard to pass even the first level, but maybe this is my problem xD
Thanks for playing, glad you liked the graphics, the AI was a bit rushed surprised me that it seems to be beating the majority of people who played i think with a few tweaks this could be fixed, the lag is just caused by the shaders loading in for the first time unfortunately didn't have enough time to preload them, really affects first impressions :(
I like dogs!
Unfortunately I was only able to play against AI, because I think it excels as a local multiplayer game.
The AI was very hard ( evasive ) so we drawed 10 times before I gave up.
Visuals and the dogs were fun and I'm definately try it again with my buddy!
