How does your game represent "Power"?
The game is a power management game type of deal. You need to carefully consider spending your energy on actions in real time.

You could also read into the story presented and somehow find power as a theme in it - IF YOU ARE A NERD!

5/5 This was so well presented and fun to play.

jaw droppingly evocative

Beaaaautiful. Gosh the art, music, and sounds together are just so nice. I love the use of chromatic aberration to denote your health and the CRT shader.

Really striking visuals, especially with the scanner mechanic. I liked that chromatic aberration was the health indicator, it made it very tense to not know exactly how much power you had left. Took me a while to realize that you're really supposed to drift as much as possible with no input to conserve energy—probably should have realized sooner given the name of the game lol. Also never felt like I quite had a hang on how memory worked or affected my power level, but that didn't hamper my enjoyment. Great job!

Well. I'm really glad you enjoyed it that way, but thanks to your comment, I found out a glaring problem with my game - i had the wrong file set as play in browser, thats why the UI didn't work.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Submitted(+1)

Oh no, glad I could surface that. For what it's worth I really I enjoyed the minimalist look!

Just played the game, it was good, i like how you added the echolation mechanic, it remind me of an !pad game that was an horror game, where you were blind and had to do noise in order to know your surrounding and avoiding monsters, it was also on a top view perspective

incredible art style and polish on visuals. love the idea and in general had very good time playing this game. It is an impressive game

Top marks for presentation, I was instantly immersed watching the intro.  The scanning effect is very nicely done.  As a couple others have said it can be easy to miss the controls but once you figure out how to get going you really stay going

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Yeah, I think I went too style-over-substance with the controls and the lack of a tutorial.

> but once you figure out how to get going you really stay going

if that was an intentional pun, i want you to know that i'm both delighted and enraged. i will be coming for you. run.

Developer

well turns out i had the totally wrong file set as play in browser. so, that's embarassing. i see why so many people had Ui isssues, since there literally wasn't any UI

Addicting game, took me a while to figure out how to not lose inertia, very fun

Love the scanning mechanics u have here! I enjoyed playing it. Nice work.

Probably the most beautiful game I've seen in the jam, the atmosphere is unmatched -- super impressive !

Developer

Thank you! I love the art in PowerNap! (i swear i don't have a crush on the wolf boss)

Beautiful game

Enjoyed the atmosphere very much,  and while it took me a sec to figure out the scanner, it was fun to use.

Really beautiful ambiance. Really fantastic work on the scanner

Im a sucker for CRT shaders, and this is gorgeous looking and the gameplay is simple yet satisfying!
Nice job there!

I appreciate the mysterious tone and the overall ambience of the experience. Admittedly, I couldn't figure out how to activate the scanner. I basically just bounced around a bunch.

Developer

Sorry to hear that! That might be a UI problem, since the instructions along the bottom can get quite unreadable. I'm going to add a controls segment to the itch.io page.

Appreciated! To sate my curiosity - what is the button?

Developer(+1)

Oh, duh - Its K, and usually it should be written along the bottom of the screen after a little animation coming from the center, after you either skip or finish the beginning cutscene.

thank you!
