How does your game represent "Power"?
Your health is power, it is consumed over time because you're made of electronics, your enemies are electrical blueprints and your purchases are electrical devices with the cost being passive power drain
also P=IV is a mathmatical expression of Power, literally power = Amps * Volts
HEY YOU, ABOUT TO DOWNLOAD THE GAME, YOU NEED TO CLICK THE BLUE DOTS, I COULDN'T IMPLY IT IN GAME SO I'M HOPING YOU READ THIS, ALL OTHER DOTS ARE HURT BOXES

Presentation is amazing I love the music, and as an electric engineer myself I appreciate that the MC is an OP-Amp. That said I'm not a fan of typing with one hand as that is very difficult for myself without looking at the keyboard. I also didn't see much benefit from the buffs because they increase power draw. I got stuck on the second fight but this is still super cool.
i tried my best to beat the second boss, tried different upgrades, even 200 power/s builds, i just cant. Very stressful gameplay! Hopping from my mouse to keyboard then back to mouse felt really fun! This is friday night funkin' for office workers. I love the art style and the music fits great. 200 power consumption / 10
lmao your the second person to try the 200 power consumption run, although unstated that would mean you would have 0.5 seconds to write a word as player health is out of 100, good to hear you enjoyed it.
Love the artstyle here!
you can thank the amazing Voxelectrica and Fubar9x for the artstyle. They did a wonderful job. I'll pass on to them that everybody loves the art style, they'll be happy to hear it.
Confusing, difficult, yet fun? I think this game somehow clicks with me, the frantic eying up of my keyboard as I type with one hand and then onto the screen to dodge, I really vibe with the gameplay and the art and music was fantastic. But it was confusing. I think the biggest problem is the lack of feedback, when I typed a word out, I didn't know what it was doing, there was no sound effect or graphical effect that played that showed that I was doing something, And with most things in the game there was no real feedback like that. Also as I mentioned, the game was really difficult, I managed to get to level 2 after a while but died pretty quickly after that. I felt like their should be some kind of mistake protection, one typo doesn't reset all progress but 2 do kind of thing. You could also make longer word chains but still allow one mistake. And finally, please zip your file up and upload that, a lot of people (including me) are wary of straight .exe files. Also when you zip your files you can add in extra stuff like .txt files and whatnot. Despite how I may sound, I thoroughly enjoyed this game, easily one of the most fun games I've played in this jam so far. Great job!
hey man, thanks for writing this out, and yeah definitely need to add more feedback for doing damage, I did add a sound que for correct words but I think there needs to be a more direct emphasis on doing damage to the boss. (I might clean up some of it after the jam and add 1 more update before finishing up with it), probably will add an animation, strong sound or a screen clear for a phase change to really articulate your making progress.
also yeah figured out the exe thing kinda sus, have to remember for next time, was basically awake for 30 hours by that point so I didn't really think about it.
I'm really glad you saw the vision and enjoyed the game, it means alot.
cool idea! loved the art and once I switched to my track pad the concept clicked a lot more.
ya know, I never considered trackpads, but it makes alot of sense and is probably pretty fun to use.
I see this is your first game jam. Loving the art and music but it's unfortunate that I didnt understand how the game works even after several attempts. Only thing i could catch is i have to type in the words but after that i keep dying. There's a potential in this game honestly. Wish u had more time to build the game.
Keep joining more game jams and u will definitely make a good game one day!
Hey thanks, honestly it's not overly complicated, it's literally just a bullethell with typing mechanics as your attack and heal function. the only thing I had trouble implying was that you need to click on the blue dots everything else is a hurtbox. tried to put instructions for blue dot in description and text file but, it still not amazing design to rely on descriptions and telling, especially since most wouldn't read either.
First time I've seen a typing game in a while, this one has a pretty cool take on it! One-handed typing is a fun exercise. I don't think I got past the first level, and it was going on pretty long, but the gameplay was still enjoyable. Nice game!
lmao thanks, I didn't expect anybody to try to type one handed, thought most would swap between typing and moving. Thanks for the play and kind words though.
