I've seen a few variations of this mechanic throughout this jam and so far I think this one does it the best. The controls are good and the quick respawn time and movement encourages experimentation.

Excellent game, I loved the minimalist style, it's fun and challenging in just the right amount. The character is a bit fast-paced and sometimes it's hard to be precise, but I think that's part of the challenge. I would put some statistics at the end of the game, such as number of deaths, number of platforms used, etc. Good job.

Nice work! I think the timing and speed worked well for me personally, but the jump felt a tad unresponsive sometimes. I don't think I would add anything more than that based on what the other comments have said, but overall good job!

For 24h of work, this is still real good. Jumping, falling and running could benefit from being a little slower and maybe the option to undo one tv screen guy instead of just restart the level. Those would be the two things I'd want the most if you ever update. Otherwise, the concept is neat and the character/animation is cute and well designed. I like the play/pause motif. Good job under the time constraint. I'd like to see if you update it once the jam is over for final polishing!

Putting aside that you made this in 24h I still thought it was great! Some different mechanics to dodge like fireballs and more levels would be awesome

Good Concept, but the movement was too fast, and hitbox were too big, but it was pretty fun

Nice idea. I found the jump to be a little hit and miss which made it hard to time correctly.

I'm impressed you got this game finished as quickly as you did! I really liked it, good idea :)

Your game was pretty cool. I really liked it. You did a good job even if it was done in 24 hours.

I love the concept, the game is neat but yeah, can really see the 24 hours in the overall polish and content.

An undo feature would do wonders for sure, on the final level it can sometimes be more frustrating than fun.

Neat little game. I enjoyed it a lot!

As some other people are saying, the ground detection is a little buggy but it's fine for a small jam game, especially one made in 24 hours. However, if it were to be made into a larger project, that is something that would be good to fix.

Great idea, great graphics and great music/sfx!

i found 3 problems for the game to be perfect:

  1. If the character was a little too off the border of a platform, the jump button stops to works (i think it is because the ground detection is a single centralized raycast. if so, maybe a collider or a boxcast would work better)
  2. I think that when we pause the player, a short animation before sending the player to the spawn point would be great.
  3. Restarting the whole level when we misplace a box is very frustrating. Maybe if we could ‘rewind’, removing the platforms in the inverse order we created then?

Overall, is one of the best entries i played so far!

I had fun playing :D. I'm surprised you were able to develop it in 24 hours. TVVVVVVVVVVV

Hey that was great ! Of course making a game in 24 hours instead of a full week is extremely harder, but you managed to create a simple but efficient game, i liked it !

I was originally going to use a similar looking tv sprite for my own game, lol.  As black and white goes, I think the game does look better with the greyed out tv's but I think it would have be fine to keep them white as well.  Also I could not find the finish line on level 5, but enjoyed the levels up until then.
