This game was super fun and very well polished! My only gripe was with the camera. I think it should snap to the character, rather than (s)lerp to them. But overall, it was a great and well-designed game.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

By far one of the most polished games I've played! Nice simple mechanic and smooth gameplay. Could be improved with well placed checkpoints but it is a really good

Developer

Thanks very much!! :)

Cute little game! I enjoyed that. Your art style and SFX fit the theme and your game very well. Also enjoyed the wall jump mechanic, very cool! Maybe I'm just not good at infinite runner-style platformers, but I got so frustrated at my rabbit when he just ran off an edge that took me several attempts to reach, haha. Overall, good work!

Would appreciate it if you checked out my game as well!

Developer

Thanks very much for the feedback! It was never intended to be a rage-type game, it just sort of became one during the level design process! I couldn't think of a better way to keep challenging the player with so few mechanics and little control!

Really nice game. Fun to play and nice idea of the theme. The camera movement was a bit confusing sometimes.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! What was confusing about the camera? I'll be releasing a post-jam update so am compiling a list of improvements for the game...

While wall jumping the character was on top of the camera and i couldn't see where to jump next. For me at least.

Developer

Gotcha! I've actually zoomed the camera out now quite a bit for the post-jam update already, but will do some testing specifically in the wall-jump areas to make sure that the camera keeps up with the player a bit better. Thanks very much!

Pretty fun game! The art was really nice!! Amazing game!

Developer

Thanks!

Nice game, it really brings me back to my childhood.
The art is great and the concept is fun!
It might be just me but I feel that the camera range is too small, it was hard to know when to jump.

Developer

Thanks very much for the feedback! I have had a similar comment from another player too - I wanted the camera fairly close to feel quite claustrophobic, but have zoomed it out a bit for the post-jam update. To be fair, it feels better ;)

One button platformer, that’s a pretty neat take on less is more. I couldn’t seem to figure out the first level of world two. No matter how I timed my jumps going down that shoot I couldn’t land on the next part of the level :(

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah the wall slide takes a bit of getting used to. You have to slide down the right side to just past the lower carrot, then jump across. 😉

I like the overall feel of it. It actually "feels like a game" if that makes sense. A Jam entry usually feels like a prototype. It is too hard at some points, death isn't fun while the player isn't invested in the game, and the camera is definitely a problem, but it's fixable. Pretty nice little game.

Developer

Thanks very much for the feedback! What did you not like about the camera? I've had people tell me its too close to the player, so in the post-jam update I have zoomed it out a bit...

It slows down a bit too much behind the player. Snaps back a bit too fast because of it

This is one of my absolute favorites so far. Such a fantastic game! It's fast paced and really fun. It has very simple gameplay that matches the theme well and I enjoyed playing it. The mechanics feel so good and it has a great level of polish! Also great level design that's challenging but not too frustrating. Really fantastic work!

Developer(+1)

Really glad you liked it! Thanks for playing!!

Might be my favorite one! It was great! I hope you will try my game too!

Good job on the art, feels really clean and pleasant to look at. I like the concept of having some of the movement out of your control; we thought of trying to implement that for our angry character to make it more thematic, but didn't have time.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I started the whole process with that restriction, and built the game around it. I would imagine trying to retrofit a finished game with that restriction would be really hard!

Pixel art is just gorgeous, and the animations are amazing. Good job!

Developer

Can't believe I'm getting so many positive comments for my pixel art! Thank you so much!

Love pixel art themes in general, especially when combined with fluid animations like this! The Theme could be a bit of a stretch, but the level design and visuals truly make up for it. Well Done!

Developer

Wow! Thanks very much!

This one is a treat! Just a beautiful, fun little game (and quite a long one at that). Congratulations!!

Although the theme is a bit of a stretch, I think the minimalism on the concept could justify it :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks very much for playing! I thought that having less controls (literally a single button), using less colours and a reduced sprite size, and rewarding completion of the game in a lower time worked with the theme?

Submitted(+1)

It does! It's just not that clear at first

Submitted(+2)

I don't how this fits with the theme...

The graphics are very good.

Developer

Wow thanks! It's my first time creating pixel art of any kind, so that's high praise! Theme wise I was banking on the minimal controls, colours and sprite sizes to work in my favour. Plus the player with the lowest time is ranked higher on the leader board...
