Congrats for finished the game, well done.
I enjoyed the game. I was a bit confused at first with the commands ans rules, but after I learned it was nice.
This game has good potential to be expanded. With several maps and types of planets. Even as a board game it would be cool.

Please, rate my game and leave some feedback too =]

I liked the game. Visual style is very clean and fitting, and sounds are nice. There should maybe be a way of selecting all possible units to send instead of clicking the arrow 10 times, but for a short project, very nice work!

This is a great game! Works really smooth, graphics are amazing, sounds are great! It's pretty addictive even when you're not a good strategy player like myself :)

Developer

Makes me very happy to know you had fun playing it! Thanks for playing and rating it!

Loved the game! It was a little weird to select the amount of ships I wanted to move, click move, and then click the planet. I found myself often just selecting a ton of ships, then selecting the planet, expecting that to work.

Overall, great game and awesome take on the theme :)

Developer

Thanks for the febuild! I'm happy to see you loved it!

The "move" button was a bad choice. It was supposed to give on extra layer of protection to the player but at the end it went against the intuitive gameplay. I'll surely remove in the next builds!

Wow!. That was a great game. I love the arts, gameplay and music. There is nothing to be ashamed of playing this for more than an hour. I feel no shame at all. xD Although  there is a bug where on your turn you could move the enemies piece. Aside from that I have no complaints. Thank you I had fun playing it.

Developer

Great to hear you had fun! I did play for over an hour too!

I did not notice I left the option to move enemy turns on... lol.... there is also a hidden keyboard + mouse combo to give yourself, or the enemy, more troops that I used for testing purposes.

That was really cool :) ! This is honestly a good strategy game, with clean, nice vector art, a calm soundtrack, great UI and tons of great ideas !
Great job and keep it up !

Developer

Thanks Noa!

I'm glad you liked it! Your channel is such an inspiration! I was surprised to see how many people joined this Jam!!! And a lot of very cool games and ideas popped up!!!

Great job to you!

Overall really good game. Art and Sound are nice.

Gameplay is also nice, just a little too much clicking on the up button :D And only allowing one move from one planet to another kind of makes the game longer. I could imagine that allowing multiple moves per round would make the game more interesting. Especially because the enemies could get more aggressive too ;)

I would really appreciate it, if you rate my game too ;)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

The initial idea was to have players moving more than once per turn but at the end this complicated the AI too much for the time frame (When should the AI stop moving, for example?). If it were a multiplayer, this is something that I would definitely do (Until I can improve the AI enough to handle multiple moves).

I'll play your game, for sure!

Submitted

Yeah, I think I understand the problem with the AI and this is for sure a tough topic to work on.

Anyway, I would like to see more levels from your game ;) Maybe with some new mechanics (no idea what at the moment  :D)

Submitted(+1)

wow reallly cool game, a bit long sometimes but the overall is awesome

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

It can get a bit long.... I could add some more micro-interaction things to make the experience more smooth

Submitted(+1)

Nice art, nice gameplay, nice AI. Very good game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I'm glad you liked the AI! It was hard to code it and it still has some bugs, but in general it is a good opponent.

Submitted(+1)

Nice artstyle. The gameplay reminds me of something I've played before

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Maybe RISK?

Submitted(+1)

I really like the artstyle and the soundeffects of your game. The gameplay is nothing new and innovative but pretty good. I like it!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

Gameplay is like the game Risk but adapted to the theme. I could probably do something more innovative (I thought about having a meteor shower or having some planets orbiting others to ad more dynamism but did not have the time to implement it.)

Okay, the game is really cool. I am happy I gave it a second try. Its very nice you have made an online version of it.

One or two things: In the meter on top, try showing the population instead of planets conquered. That might show you more info. Also, are there just two levels ? I got sent to the first one when I passed the second.

The game idea is really nice, the AI is pretty good, but it might be better (stronger). Musics are nice, the design is nice, I really like it.

Good job

Developer

Thanks for playing it SMAEL!

I'm happy that you thought it was cool!!!

Thanks for the tip about the population. I could probably have this info somewhere on the GUI but did not think of that...

Yes, the game only has two levels so far. I had to hardcode the relationship between planets as I did not have time to make a generator. If I keep on developing it I'll definitely make a generator.

Really great game! The most fun & impressing game I've seen so far on this Game Jam. I really enjoyed the thinking aspect. The only  thinks I can think of could be maybe a more difficult opponent(I get that this might be hard to do), but overall really great game. I love how you stuck with the theme, and I guess you got inspiration from Risk, or some other game like it.

Again, loved the game

Developer

Thanks a lot!

I do like to make short games to test out mechanics (and make tutorials for people on how to do it on my YouTube channel). This was a game  mechanics was something I had in mind for a while and when the theme got out I knew I had to try to do it (and for a good part of the week i was worried it wouldn't be fun to play).

Submitted

No worries, It really was a fun game, and you've certainly gotten a good rating from me

Great job on the game! This is probably the most impressive 7 day project I've ever seen!

Developer(+1)

Thanks!

It has been done on my free time as I have a full time job that has nothing to do with game dev. I'm glad you like playing it!

My pc defender ran into a problem with your .exe app. Dont want to get some malware, sry.

Submitted

There's no malware. I downloaded the game and it works just fine.

Submitted

It's true, the only reason windows tells you that, is because it doesen't know the dev

Developer (1 edit)

That is strange, it is a standalone exe (no install required), exported directly from GameMaker Studio.

I ported an HTML5 version in time, but I'm having trouble getting it to perform equally to the executable version.

okay, i will try it. Just didnt want to be the first one :) you know, security first.

Developer

Hope you like it!
