art and music in this entry were very good! the crafting mechanics were intuitive and easy to understand. I had a bug after killing the first boss where the health bar was keep appearing on the top of the screen but nothing game breaking. Good Job!
the crafting was quite intuitive, even without text explanations. good work on the audio!
If I could give 6/5 for music I would. Bosses were suitably challenging- even though the third boss reverted me to t1 weapons, I got her on the second try! I don't generally go for a meatpunk aesthetic, but the pixel art and animations were super well done. Great work!
The art and music for this game were amazing and were definitely the game's highlights. I like the overall flesh theming, it works super well. You can tell there was a lot of love put into the crafting and the sheer amount of stuff there is in the game shows that the month was well-spent. I had fun finding out what each weapon did, and appreciated the descriptions given to the player.
Brutal game! Very cool art, especially on the bosses. I'm glad you took the time to name the craftable weapons and give them descriptions, though a couple of them weren't fully visible, like the Slime Rod. The first boss fight was definitely longer than I anticipated, but I did love the mitosis of it going into the second phase. Some balance is needed for the projectile weapons (chompers?), as they seemed to not do much damage. It would have been nice to be able to control which weapon slot was going to be replaced with a crafted item (I thought the upgraded chomper thing would replace the old one). I had fun up until the second boss, because I had the first chomper and the upgraded one as weapons, and they weren't much fun being so weak. Got some DOOM vibes from the music, it served the vibes well, great job!
cool game! the pixel art was really good and i liked how many crafting choices there were and that you unlock more as you defeat bosses. i think there could have been more polish on the weapons, especially the ranged weapons (like if you added screenshake for when they fired or something), just to make it feel better, but that's a pretty small thing. good job!
Beautiful lightining system! The HUD and interface are very pleasant to look at. The protagonist is charming and the boss design is ... scary! (in a good way). Easy to learn and progress. Well done!
I'll leave some suggestions:
- When I killed the first boss, its corpse stayed on top of the leaving portal. It took me some time to figure that out. Maybe the corpse could disappear after a brief time;
- When dashing, the camera follow up seems a bit too harsh, maybe some smoothing and interpolation could improve the camera motion;
Yes, that's all! Good game!
Fun game with a really nice art style and excellent crafting system that fits the theme.
I think a healing mechanic would have been a nice addition to have during the boss fights. However, I did only get up to the second boss fight (got stuck with the ring attack), so apologies if this was introduced later or if I missed it.
Other than that, great game!
Cool take on the theme and really great art. I quite like the large variety of weapons its fun to experiment with the different types. The movement can feel a bit sluggish at times and some weapons defiantly feel more powerful than other. Overall though I liked it. lots of creativity here! Great work!
