Super fun! There may be only one boss but it has a lot of attacks that interact in really interesting ways. I feel like adding different types of projectiles with different properties would be a great place to start expanding on the mechanics.
Pretty cool game for something that was made in 44 hours lol
The actual mechanic of deflecting the bullets was fun and definitely required some skill to aim them right, Although I felt that the bat's hitbox could've been somewhat larger
Things really got real from the second phase and onwards lol. However, I feel like the amount of bullets that get spawned sometimes was a little too many looking at how small the arena was. So much so that it became impossible to dodge sometimes
Along with that, I got confused by the indicator for when an acid puddle spawns. It looked more like an item that would heal me so I always ended up going near it by accident.
Still, for what this game is, it's pretty good
Thanks! Yeah I agree. I have a tendency to make hitboxes too small. I should definitely make it even easier for the player. I was thinking of adding a subtle hint that your bat would it when a projectile is close enough. I think it would help to know when to attack.
The boss needs better behavior. It can be extremely easy if you’re lucky and sometimes he get crazy and keeps spawning saws
Oh yeah it’s coming from the limitation of the art pack I had to use for a private jam and it was the closest to a danger indicator, but I do agree it can be confusing ahah.
I loved the baseball bat damage exchange system very cool! 4/5!
I loved the art and the controls. The gameplay is great. The fact that it was made 48 hours is incredible. Great Job.
I really like this game
A very interesting gameplay
Although there is no BGM, the sound of Boos walking is very interesting
Hey, I loved the gameplay, the art and the control of the player !
However I find that's it's missing a music and a few SFXs, but hey, 48 hours,
'Bravo' !
Really nice game, quite impressive that it was made in 48 hours. It was a bit cheeseable with standing still and all that, but some of the boss mechanics eventually took care of it. It looks like it could be built upon for a really cool full game.
great game! the juice and sound effects made the player feel really good to control and to damage the boss. the game felt a bit easy though, you can mostly just stand in the corner and spam attack, but other than that i really like it, sad that there was only one boss!
Thanks! Yeah I added the toxic attack to force the player to move but it’s not intelligent enough so you can get lucky and just stand in a corner if you want
Really fun boss and gameplay! I wish there were more, but the fight is really polished.
It's pretty fun! The repel mechanic works very well, although I would have liked to see that being used in different ways. And I was pretty bummed to see they were only one boss, but after a bit of crying, it's alright!
Sound is rough too, had to mute the game midway :c
But overall very nice, thanks for the game!
Thanks! Do you have any suggestions for other uses? Yeah unfortunately I had a time limit for a private jam so I only had time for one boss.
All of the sounds? I feel like the movement of the boss is the biggest culprit
I don't know maybe you could have done some Ganon from Zelda Ocarina Of Time shenanigans, or have some close ranged attack to repel. It would have been so cool!
