Loved the art style, the characters were very unique and weird. The combat system was really polished and easy to use and the theme of the jam was implemented very organically. I can see a lot of potential for this to grow, great job!

Thank you! This one took a lot of work, I’m glad that you like it!

It's really hard to pinpoint what really disappointed me after the first playthrough.

The XCOM like tiling is good for a turn based game, but there is a severe lack of exposition and maybe a text tutorial on what team member's unique strengths and weaknesses are? The idea of some kind lab rats in SCP-like base trying to escape is really cool, but proper guide and some visual cues of how to approach different foes would be really helpful and without it game feels really hostile to the new player. Great idea, hope after the jam your team will really expand on it.

With some tweaking it would be a great game!

I found it a bit confusing at first, but then you can get the hang of it (I hadn't seen that there was the tutorial on the game page). Otherwise, I thought it was fun because I liked turn-based games, but I died several times before getting to the boss because there were a lot of enemies.

When I saw one of the inmate was on his hands moving his feet, i laughed. the ambience is really nice and I really like the aesthetic! I must admit I never saw a strategy game like this one in a game jam before. Well Done!

I did get confused on why the enemies were not finishing their turns at first, then i realised i needed to confirm their moves wich makes sense if you want to strategize but i would allow player to disable this later.

The attack pause is meant for selecting a unit to use the exchange ability with (or cancel and carry on the attack). This reminds me the game needs a page description, I’m going to add it soon. Thank you for playing, and for your kind words!
