Very fun game with creative bosses (I did NOT expect that triple ‘slash’ from Red), honestly really solid all around.

Hey there, I am trying to get other to re-submit their reviews for my game if possible...it was deleted and removed from the Jam on accident based on a technicality which was solved between the Jam Host and a particular asset used in the game...please if you have time, energy, and/or generosity to re-saved your ratings/reviews for the game. I am going through and re-saving yours given my browser kept your rating saved data on my end...but it looks like I lost all 73 reviews and ratings from my end.... :( best of luck to you in the Jam
I loved the simple shapes in this one, after re-evaluation I went with 3.5/5 stars for your game great job!
fun game! tbh, at first i didnt understand the mechanic, but that might just be because im dumb, but i figured it out eventually and its a really cool idea!
the game feels pretty good to play, though sometimes the boss would instakill me if it got too close, i think that was happening because there was no iframes? not exactly sure what was happening there
i really like the concepts for all the bosses, they all feel quite different from each other, and their attacks felt good to dodge, especially the second boss!
the art looks a bit unfinished, and i do wish there was some music and sound effects, but overall really nice game!
Cool game, love the minimalist art style. The 2d light effects are really pleasing. I would love to see this taken further.
Loved the geometric art style, and really appreciated the autofire, most bullet hell games I have seen on this jam forget this feature. The design of the boss and the arena lighting complement each other really well to create a sort of otherworldly experience. Great job!
That was really refreshing. The core mechanic is really interesting and engaging, I liked it a lot, it's really good for a prototype that you could develop further. The bosses were entertaining, and while their mechanics were simple, that allows you to focus more on your colors, so it works really well. As others have said, it lacks visuals, but that's something that can be fixed down the line, you have the proof of concept of an interesting idea, I hope you can continue to develope it in the future!
I really like the minimalistic style and pretty lighting, you could probably maximize that to your benefit, so I guess Godot icon has got to go hehe... Also this could be a more action movement based shooter, like the player could move with momentum after boosting through a larger battlefield, like you're floating in space. Other than that, I think the controls are smooth, use of theme is cool (stacking the colors doubles down on the effect), however I only realized how it works after I beat the game lol.
I love the skill that the exchanging light slots adds, very fun game!!
I ran into a bug where I stopped taking damage, but only once so I have no idea what its from
This is so cool! I can feel the rhythm of it though there's no bgm (maybe my mouse clicks are too loud lol)
I think the player fire rate could be a bit faster so that the fights would be more exciting.
(btw I missed submitting my game on the event page, it won't be rated but I'd still like some feedback :D
I found it a bit too hard, but I also suck at bullet hell games. Apart from that, I think the prototype does it’s job really well. I can imagine how you can build from this into a fully fleshed out, really interesting and challenging game. I also would really like to see what being good at that game looks like, because I think it would have great skill expression.
heya! almost forgot to leave my comment here, but i have decided to try this game out since someone told me to check on it! :P
i'm not that good on stuff like bullet hell, especially since i can get overwhelmed by it. either way, so far i feel like this prototype reflects that you have some good ideas yet don't have the time to actually add a lot more and polish it.
- the light slot mechanic is super interesting, the only issue i had is in terms of ergonomics. i tend to keep pressing e instead of r, which in turn leads me to just use defaults throughout. i do notice e does something, but its kinda just there? idk what happened ^^;
- oddly love the aesthetic you were trying to go for. genuinely wished you had the time to get it done because the goal you had seems super clear. (this is kinda a similar thing to what someone else said in the comments)
- love how the bosses all have their own mechanics. it does take a wee bit of time for me to get through stuff, but again that's kinda just my issue. it still has a good enough difficulty scaling for someone like me to get somewhere at least.
anyways, i think that is most of what i have to say!! happy to have tried this out :]
